Using a smaller amount of Recharge but then adding a bit of molasses to create a bunch of good microbes.

So I have been using Recharge and my plants love it. I have a jar of sulfur free molasses and was thinking about just using a smaller amount of the Recharge with the extra molasses.

Reason: Extend the Recharge by using less and still get the benefits of it.

What I have been doing is filling up a 5 gallon bucket with the molasses and smaller amount of the recharge overnight then water the next day…. Kinda like doing a Tea.

So far, I have seen good results very similar to a full amount of Recharge.

Thoughts or experience on this?

Thanks!

Sure man, why not!

I do the same thing with "Orca." It's like a lazy way to get some compost/ewc tea going. It should multiply the bacteria and Trichoderma, no question.

The issue is the mycos. In the past, forum dudes said that the spores need to be in contact with the roots, and that bacteria would eat the myco spores as you "brewed." Now maybe popular opinion has changed, and people think that tea process with prime the spores, so it's cool.

Thanks! So far so good. I think I will keep doing this

I believe Recharge recommends you use it within 2 hours of preparation. Seems like if your gonna go through the process of composting a tea, use the real thing, earth worm castings for optimum gain.

I use blackstrap all the time, once a week actually.. It's nice to give the babies their candy. There is nothing wrong with adding molasses to help extend your recharge.. I use molasses with Bokashi Pro Gro "it has molasses in it" and it works great.
