Nodrama,I see it as hypocritical of those in power worldwide. There's only a select few really rich who pull the strings. You have no clue who they are. There's no benefit in them telling us.The figure heads worldwide are only smart enough to wipe their ass.

Umm wtf? The US was the one who made it mandatory all UN members outlawed the makes our white women lust after jazz musician wacky tabaky. DD you fall for shit too easily. Now Obama can do, "It's not my fault!" again.
Hemp/Cannabis became illegal because of Lumber lobbyists, not jazz musicians. They used the excuse that minorities would end up seducing white women in order to scare people into thinking that hemp/mj was bad. But the "morality" was not the issue, it was a fiscal decision.

I agree most Americans are both hypocritical and arrogant, but what would you expect in a country that calls its self the mixing pot? basic chemistry, some things don't mix. That being said there are constant power shifts in this country that pander to the desires of of a constantly changing demographic (or pretend to). the bad part is when they do actually listen to the public the other half of the public hates them for it, thus the apparent hypocroacy. examples range from pot legalization to gay marriage, no matter what your gonna piss a lot of people off. so what tends to happen is they just say fuck you all we will decide what you need and then we will administer it to you.

Yep, still illegal, cuz Calderon was pressured by the USA and the UN to keep it illegal. US said if Mexico legalized it that sanctions would be implemented. Now parts of USA have legalized. Hypocritical Arrogant Americans.
Legalizing it would have made it an insane market for Mexico and would have increased smuggling 100x. It doesn't really matter Mexico is pissed because we're playing with their honey pot. He is now using all the political power he has to pressure the US to stop CO and WA, what will be the advantages?

Cucumber,
You really need to read more of my posts, especially those above mine. Of course those are the reasons. The current reason is those who traffic are exploiting others. But that's a result of the drug war, a result of ... It's a slippery slope.

Raymond Yans says the approvals send "a wrong message to the rest of the nation and it sends a wrong message abroad."
The INCB has no enforcement ability.
