ok so i was thinking of using the High Output T5 florescents with the 6500K grow bulbs to vegg my plants on i will switch them to hps lights during flowering but how many florescents should i use during vegging ? and should i use multiple 6500k or should i use a different kinda bulb with it also or would the 6500k bulb work fine on its own ?

How would i go about setting these CFLs up? i am planning on using just regular screw in ones (43 watt), but i know nothing about electrical wiring.
Many ways, easiest imo is the clamp on lights you can get from home depot for 7 bucks.. or you can use a surge protector with the plug in light sockets..
I'm starting two small veg cabs, one for germ/cloning and a second for vegging till its ready to move into a flowering cab (250w HID)
- How many CFLs (watts/ plant) should I expect to use in the veg cabs?
- Are there good specs out there for CFL mounts that I can adjust the height (as the plant grows in the veg cab)
I would say about 50watts per square foot would be good to veg under..
i cant get my home depot 65 watt cfl to light. i bought a mogul socket and cut the end of a power cord and wired it up but cant get the cfl to light. does it need some kind of ballast to make it light? lowes has a housing on sale for 30 bucks and comes with a cfl, i think if i cant get it to light just going to buy it but really want to get this to light since i bought the mogul and the light already....

It sounds like your making it harder than it is.. Cfl's have a built in ballast, just screw them into a regular household socket that can support the wattage.
What do you all recommend for a cfl setup for 1 lowrider autoflowering plant? Im no beginner at growing but I am a virgin at CFL's. And I want an awesome F#$%ing setup with CFL's only! Any suggestions on bulbs (yes I know the vegging ones) wattage or voltage. Should I conceal my grow?
If you run around 50 watts for veg, 2x 26 watt 6500k cfls and then add 3 more 2700k 26watt cfl's for flowering. So 5 total and your getting mixed spectrum of 125 true watts, you will be g2g!
hey so im a noob but it seems no one if answering my fellow noobs so ill try to help out: bong rip, it depends on your spot judging by your question about concealing it you're just planning on leaving it in the living room or something? i would suggest a closest or a cab of some kind but u could probably just get a big fan in the room and surround the shit of the plant with Cfl's and u could get something , but i;d go with the closest or some kind of controlled space. Marcus i'd suggest getting the adapters to plug right into the wall and a couple y adapters then get a power bar plug the shit in and get 4 6500 bulbs and put the lights nice and close to the plants. keep in mind i have very little experience but researched like mad
