Trim before dry?

Alright when the bud is ready to come down and be dried do i dry the whole thing as one whole plant or do i cut off branches and dry them??? Also i know i should cut off larger leaves to speed drying.

the first time i cut the plant down then cut off individual branches and then trimmed every leaf off the buds before i dried is this alright to do? i mean it turned out well the bud was like a creeper didnt hit ya till about 5-10 mins later i believe it was an auto-flower rudaleris strain.
ANYWAY

what i really want to know is should i cut off each leaf and trim the bud up real nice before i dry or just cut off the larger more obvious leavs and dry?? whats the difference/pros/cons of each strategy,

thank you :blsmoke:

I cut off the branchs and trim off all the outer leaves while it's fresh, hang for five days to a week. Then put branchs into open brown paper bags for a few more days. Then close the bags for a few days. It's slow going. When the buds feel dry on the outside and moist on the inside, pack loosly in mason jars. Every day open the jars and check how moist the buds are.If moist, leave the jar open for a few hours.Do this until the buds are dry but not crispy...pliable.When you get this far you can seal up the jars.Check every week to make sure you're not getting mold.

Growing buds is like growing tomatoes. You pick each one when it's ready, and treat it as an individual. I'd never harvest an entire plant all at once, unless I had so many that I had to.

I harvest the whole plant cut the branches down to a nice workable size then I trim most of the leafs off then I hsng them to dry for a few days then I trim a little more after the buds shrink then I hang dry for another two days then in to the mason jars they go. open lid 2-5 times a day till they are evenly dried and ready to smoke
