whats the safest and best way to transplant my plant into better soil?

try the search bar on the forum (transplanting) what i did when i did mine was push the dirt so thats its hard and not loose, you may need to water the dirt a little bit! but after the dirt is hard, get like a mini shovel thing, put it in the side of the pot and gently shovel it out (you may need to tilt the pot) if you do it right the plant should come out in one whole peace (shaped like the pot)
