Hey dudes, here is my situation..doing my first grow ,i have 2 plants growing in my closet white rhino and trainwreck. They are 5 weeks old and are 7 and 6 inches tall respectively. They have both got 4 or 5 leaf sets.I am only using a 200w ecolight with duel spectrum, which has done a great job up to now,but i fear it may not penetrate so well when the plants stretch past 1 foot tall.So i read that "topping" increases yield by creating 2 main colas and also keeps the plant smaller.....so i figured since my light won't be really effective on a tallish plant it would be better to have the light hitting 2 main colas and penetrating a slightly smaller plant...Am i correct with these assumptions?
Also to Top the plants i cut the main stem just under the newest leaf set ..is this the right thing to do? Hope someone can reassure me as i hope i havent messed things up to much 5 weeks in....thanks
