That did look like an Amsterdam Top 10.

My top 10 in no order

Casey Jones - (Devils Harvest Grey Area) Trippy Aural High
Arjans Haze (delivery) just time stopping potency, hold the bowl for half an hour after 3rd hit
Gods Gift - (delivery) Smooth relaxing stone with great flavor
G13 - (friend share) walked into my kitchen wall and found myself on the floor, didnt want to get, up too relaxed.
Chem4 - (delivery) great for music listening, still functional
Purple Kush - (DNA Green Place) almost freaked out but was too stoned to run.
Blueberry (North Carolina friend share) 2nd and last time I whited out in my life. Smelly tasty just dank
Trainwreck (delivery) so high so so high
Jack Herer - (delivery) a standard to measure most Sativas against. It just gets me high with no harsh comedown. Nice taste sweet spicy taste.

I cant judge my own grows as I smoke them exclusively until I run out. Better than most of the delivery stuff and crushes most heads I know. Much cleaner smoke too.

Nice top 10!!! Do you mean Lemon Og Kush by DNA? I'm currently helping a mate grow that and what a fucking straaaaaaaaaaaain man! It grows like a skunk and smells like og18 but sweeter. I'd also like to add that UK cheese and Exodus cheese are two different cheeses(please correct me if you think I'm wrong but i really have seen two distinct phenos of cheese in UK). Exodus cheese is a cheese that's veeeeeery fruity and berry in terms of smell and taste and UK cheese is a very very dank pheno of cheese not as fruity a lot more pungent with a smell of death really nasty shit and it also is much stronger than Exodus cheese it also is much harder to come by. From what I'm told its a very rare pheno of Big Buddah Cheese. This phenotype I'm talking of cheese is the most pungent weed I've ever come across. It stank soooo hard if you hade a few ounces open in a room after half an hour youd start getting a minging feeling at the back of your throat like something is sticking. A bit like heart burn but not as unpleasant. Seriously an EXTREME smell! It'd make you cough a bit and unexperienced smokers would get high from just smelling it. I really wished everyone could get a look at that weed cause i'm not sure many people out of the UK have come across it.
Hmm, that could have been the cheese I smoked the other night. It just smelled like a carcass and tasted like rat poison. But I know that it wasn't sprayed with anything or had anything bad happen to it. The guy who grew it is a friend of mine and he refuses to buy anything off of the streets, simply for the spraying and sprinkling of ground up glass which is pretty bad around here. Funnily enough, they all seem to be selling more than just cannabis where as the ones I've found who don't spray it or do anything unnatural are the ones who just sell cannabis.

Anyway, the reason I thought UK Cheese and Exodus Cheese are the same is because I thought it was just a UK Cheese which had been re-branded by GHS or someone. Actually, it was GHS, here's a copy/paste of what they have written in the description on attitude.

Green House Seeds Exodus Cheese Exodus cheese is the original cheese strain from the UK that was for many years available as a clone only. Greenhouse have now re-produced this strain in feminised seed form. Effect: a super stinky indica dominant hybrid Flowering indoor: 8 Weeks with production up to 750gram per m2. Ideal for SoG, SCRoG or LST Flowering outdoor: Ripe at the end of September (N.Hemisphere) with a production of 900grams per plant
I just assumed the quote in bold, was referring to UK Cheese as I read that it was clone only. I'm probably wrong and I'll not dispute it, but just clarifying why I am under the illusion that UK Cheese and Exodus Cheese are the same thing.

Also the Lemon Kush was from Female Seeds, not the Lemon OG Kush from DNA.

So moggggy your the first person to bring it up since I heard it the other day. What is with all the hostility towards GHS? I've seen it multiple times over the years, people ragging on GHS, or Arjan and Franco, and I just don't get it. I havn't personally grown out any GHS, but not for lack of desire, just hasn't happened yet. I love strain hunters, and have watched most of them. Those guys seem like sincerely nice guys, and like they are really interested in helping people (the greenhouse organization). They also seem to really appreciate our favorite plant, and put a alot of effort into collecting and retaining the landraces, as well as using them to make new stuff for us to enjoy. I'm not trying to kiss their asses it is just the impression I've gotten from every video I've watched of them in the last 8 years. So if you could share in a level headed manner what you dislike about them or if you know why I've seen that same sentiment from others in the past, that would be cool. I've always looked up to Arjan as "one hell of a guy to be like" and would hate to do that if he is not the man he seems to be.
Despite the persona they put on infront of the camera, they are just greedy, money grubbing whores. Once in a while you may find a keeper or one that fills all the required tick boxes for a good smoke/plant. They throw dud seeds into their packs and call it "quality", as well as premature seeds and straight males. This has all been reported numerous times over the last 6 months that I've been interested in growing and I'd assume for a long period before that.

Its funny I've only noticed these comment the last few years. I've been growing for close to 8 years now, and just hadn't came across all the complaints. That being said I have never looked hard into growing and GHS strains so I may have just now seen the detailed issues mentioned.

Perhaps that's when they started to decline? Was it shanti who used to work for GHS but then moved to Mr.Nice or something? Perhaps it was around that sort of time that they started to decline.

My top 10 of what I have smoked or wish I had a good clone of:

1.) Old Skool Road Kill Skunk (80's)
2.) Alaskan Thunderfuck (clone)
3.) ECSD (clone)
4.) Lemon G (Ohio Clone)
5.) TGA Jack the Ripper
6.) Chocolate Chunk
7.) GOD Bud
8.) Burmese Sativa
9.) Super Silver HAze
10.) C 99

2 alternates to fill in just in case.
11.) Love Potion (Columbian Gold)

All of them have specific effects, anti anexity, Killer smell and taste or are just incredible. Any that could be removed can be replaced with the alternates.
Feel free to change if necessary.
Cheers

OK, I said I wasn't going to, but I'll put up a "top ten classics" list. Not really claiming that these are the "best" strains (again, that's really subjective), I'm deliberately naming more than ten, and they're not intended to be in order of quality. But I think these are some of the most famous strains that have proven themselves over time, by sheer quality, reputation, awards, and the best measure of success. . .being widely copied and used as the basis for other crosses!

Obviously, there are many others that could go on a list, but I think this list should be relatively non-controversial:

Landrace:
-Mazari Shariff
-Columbian Gold
-Acapulco Gold
-Durban Poison
-Panama Red
-Jamaican ("Lamb's Breath")
Honorable mention to: Malawi Gold, Thai, Oaxacan, Maui Wowie.

"Old school" commercial strains:
-Haze (the original)
-Skunk #1
-Northern lights
-White Widow (aka Black Widow).
-Bubblegum
-AK-47
-William's Wonder
-Jack Herer
-Super Silver Haze
-Blueberry
Honorable mention: Mendocino purple (this one goes by many different names), Afghan #1, G13.

More recent strains (note that most of these are still 15+ years old, many are either "clone only" or may be hard to find in ceed form):
-Chemdawg
-OG Kush
-Headband
-NYC/Sour Diesel
-UK Cheese
-Trainwreck
-Romulan
-Green Crack
-Herijuana
-Blue Dream

Honorable mention: -Critical mass (more famous for yield than quality), Lowryder (most influential as being first successful commercial autoflower, rather than bud quality),

And I'm deliberately avoiding most of the more recent famous strains, many of which are just crosses or refinements of above.

Maybe its just some dislexia but i read, "i top 10 so hard" made me lmao.

Ps

That list is extremely subjective, i would have a much different top 10.

1-super silver haze
2-critical+
3-ak-47
4-chocolope
5-opium
6-big buddha cheese
7-warlock
8-blueberry
9-heavy duty fruity
10-hash berry

Now is this a good top ten?Why or why not?
"Top" in what way? Yield? Flavor? Potency? Ease of growth? Combinations of above?

Each of the above strains has something to offer; I don't think any of them are really bad. Its more a question of what you're looking for.

Which ones out of the top ten is a must have?
Out of that list, for me SSH, AK47, Cheese, and Blueberry are the classic "must try" strains, if you fancy yourself a connoisseur and/or want to get some historical sense of where things have been before.

In my opinion, none of them are "must have", in the sense that every single one of them could probably be replaced by a different but similar (and maybe less famous) strain that was just as good.

Link to the original article with the top 10.
I see. I like the disclaimer at the bottom:

* This Top 10 List of Best Cannabis Seeds list is totally based on our own experience and the experience from people whose opinion makes sense to us. Although we do have a lot of experience together, our experience is still limited. Lots of marijuana seeds are not even able to get on this list (for now), simply because we, or anyone we know, have any experience with those seeds. The fact we're positive about the cannabis seeds mentioned above, doesn't mean we have anything negative to mention about any of the other cannabis strains around. So you know...
So we know the numerator here is 10. . .what's the denominator? IE, this is the top ten out of what. . .20 strains that these guys have tried? Out of 100? In a case like this, it would be interesting to see which strains did NOT make the top ten and why.

Also, as a matter of practice, just because a given strain makes great smoke, doesn't necessarily make it a great strain to grow in your particular garden.
