too hot and dry?

i have a closet grow and just cant seem to rid the heat adequately!. its 3.5x5.5 x 8 tall. The temp when lights are off are between 70 and 75 once the lights are on the room is about 85-90 with a 32-34% humidity. i have a portable ac in the room running 24/7 and still cant keep it cool enough.

Tried a cooltube venting the hot bulb air out of the room?

venting through 2 cool tubes still not working well enough

instead of venting from my attic back to my attic better to keep one end of the tubes open to vent hot air?

Attic=hot air. Try bringing your air in from someplace beside your attic if you can, exhausting it into your attic is fine. If you live in a place that has constant low humidity you also might want to try a swamp cooler. They are worthless if your humidity gets much above forty five percent.

ok thanks, i also need to vent the heat from the portable ac out through the tubes but may be if i reroute it somewhere it will help to keep the tubes cooler
also the ballasts are un a shelf up at the ceiling and they are producing a bunch of heat but i have nowhere else to store them

droman, sounds like you are using hid lighting. If you can afford it look into digital ballasts, they give off almost no heat.

How are you storing the ballasts? If they are resting/sitting down straight on a flat surface they tend to heat up more. If you can raise them (for instance a 1'thickx3'x'3 wood block on each end), so most of the ballast is surrounded by air, that should help them stay cooler.

they have air all around them, sitting way up on those cheap wire shelves from home depot, cant afford digis yet need to pull off a successfull complete run here and stack some dough then i can upgrade

Exhaust the hot air out of the grow room and surrounding grow area with an exhaust fan and ducting and bring fresh air in from the aircond room passively. Wont cost much but will make a big difference to your final weight.
