It's early days, Blair represents only one seat out of 184 and he's a cop..."a dangerous drug" that Trudeau admitted smoking....Blair is blowing smoke up his own ass. I'm sanguine that things will work out for the better.
Hey, anything right now is better than the rot we had.

I read Blair is going to be defense minister, so that keeps him away from weed decisions, imo. I'd like to hear JT say something about mj in his throne speach

I don't think it will be in the throne speech but maybe, if we're lucky, it will be included in the budget.

The budget is the best place to introduce it. Probably won't be the first budget given the timeframe, but maybe before the second or in the second.

They will need to show extra revenue on the books to make deficits look smaller but I don't think (based on their platform or opposition to Harper) that it will come from more cuts to programs or unspent budgeted cash.

They need new sources of revenue based upon their platform, lower middle class taxes and deficits. The deficits can't run wild based on the conservative threat and their "balanced" budget campaign.

There is another election coming in a few years, all parties know it, know what's up for grabs and knows how each other played and governed, both the libs and the cons have suffered crushing defeats while leading.

The libs have no choice but to uphold their promises or risk being voted back to oblivion.

Won't be in the throne speech because it's not a priority.
Probably not.

But that doesnt mean weed isnt a priority. He has said several times he would legalize as fast as he can. Within the first year. It might take a couple tho to put it all into effect. But that sounds like a priority to me...given a term is only 4 years....
