The Kiwi Growers Thread

Hi guys and girls. I know you're out there and on here so thought we should have a thread for our place. The Aussie thread is great but everywhere is different and contrary to many peoples belief Aussie is bloody far away! Just like everywhere else.

So. Please post whatever. This is not intended as my thread, rather I'm taking advice and building it so that you may come. Please do.

What exactly is the point of this thread? Sure the Aussie thread gets kinda rowdy sometimes. But that's how them boys/girls roll down "Under"I guess. Everyone is a little bit different.

Cheers @Lucky Luke. Damn fine point; Moscow is about as far from London as we are from Australia. Would have thought the point was pretty obvious. Even if you aren't able to extrapolate it from my extremely complicated original post, common sense should inform you. My mistake.
Kiwis don't taste good @Wizzlebiz, didn't stop us eating them all but still, as I mentioned, we're pretty far from anywhere else! I'm fairly sure I haven't already done this. I asked for feedback on the idea. Man its a sorry world, must be a slow day/night! Must be one long disappointment for you @Zephyrs.

Well look Dude, I'm from America. And I didn't know y'all had such sensitive feelers. And ya I know geography. And no I don't speak Irish, but y'all Irish make a good whiskey though.:mrgreen: CHILL Mo Fo, Smoke a bong hit. And try and be peaceful. :joint:bongsmilie
I get Canada, Mexico and the US mixed up all the time because they are so close together.
Wait no I don’t because I’m not an idiot.

Haven't heard of those @Scuzzman, I don't get out much lol! Will have to take a look, sound interesting.
I use the cx hydroponics system and must say they're wicked! Came about due to the hydro shop i use giving free samples, thought I'd give 'em a go and was very impressed. Would recommend to anyone. But you are right, its frustrating the things we can't get easily or have to pay 3x as much as the rest of the world for. Not just for our gardening interests either but across the board. Will say its got a hell of a lot better in terms of availability and selection since I came back in '98, price not so much. Things in general are far more expensive in the relative sense now, due to global economics I would imagine!
The cx works out cost effective i think, use the same base throughout and change quantity and additives. Stable as in my experience.

Chur bro's

Shot @trichoneum I was hoping someone would start a kiwi tread I see the need but I was never going to do it myself
I'm using CX for a cple years now. Love how simple it is and a decent price. Canna was great until you I started buying supplements then it's gets crazy. My personal compliant about our maket is led lighting all over priced and limited range. Luckily the guy's across the ditch got us covered there

shot for starting the kiwi thread, was also thinking abt starting one too.so far everyone has the same problem, expensive to buy the tools to grow good mj.Im in no-till so haven't been using much ferts.I was using nutrifield in coco and got a good harvest, when i was using nutes.

Any1 had any grows with lights from herbal house or any of the other nz grow shops?

There's not one place to get all the stuff you need, you really have to buy from alot of different sources to get a good package going. Even tho I got most of the setup i still cant crack a good grow lol.

seeds are another common issue,in terms of getting them in.other than a few hookups on here I havent yet tryed to import any yet.....mayb one day.

To the op and fellow kiwis I hope this thread continues and grows

Thanks bros. Glad I wasn't the only one chur!
I use Growshop NZ online, good range and helpful; really gone out their way for me couple of times. Prices seem reasonable for here.
As for seeds I know of them getting through often. I have also known the odd person to get the famous love letter from our lovely customs team! I know someone who has something in mind, will update if he goes through.

sweet bro

ye thats who i use regularly, they have good customer service and prices, there tents are good and what they have on offer.there abt as close as we got to a full range store.

I have the 400w QB from herbals which has been good.i noticed they all stocked up on new led lights when the referendum rolled around.

Itll be nice to have our own soil range like fox farm here at home.

Love that CX! Thought it may have been the usual hype at first but nah, great stuff.

For sure. I've got 1-2 weeks left on my current and then want a light upgrade. Not sure whether to go LED or not tbh.
Any idea if that zoodoo company still around? They did a few nice products from the 'waste' at Wellington zoo. Used them for my outdoor some years ago, mulches and such.
