Get the real deal history of the Bubba strain from "Bubba" himself! This is no myth or urban legend! Straight from the horses mouth comes the confirmed tale!

I lived in Silver Lake Los Angeles at that time. Wish I had met that original gangsta Bubba dude. Maltman Avenue that's where my currently deceased Border Collie showed up. F'er lived to be 19 his name was really Abe lol. Gots to get me some of that Bubba Kush. Not a huge ICP fan, but like that lyric, "...insane in the membrane".

I tend to be skeptical as a mofo too. Just because he said people called him Bubba, makes me trust his story less the more I think about it. We need more opinions or at least a Bubba K.. J, to seriously contemplate this further.

He is saying Bubba Kush is actually Northern Lights x Kush. He got some very special Northern Lights seeds from a frat brother in New Orleans who told him they were from Humboldt in northern California. He then grew the Northern Lights seeds in Florida and renamed them Bubba. In 1996 he brought his Bubba to Silver Lake in Los Angeles and his Bubba got pollinated by a Kush hermie, giving us Bubba Kush.

ok so my dog may have only lived to be eighteen, that doesn't mean it wasn't ocean grown.saw this at thc farmer:HeLLMuTTPremium FarmerBubba Kush = (OG Kush x (West Coast Dog x Old World Kush))and some info behind it..."Jerry bred his Chem Dog cut to a Humboldt county indica boy. This was the beginning of his cubing proccess. At BX3 he got a pheno that had all the smell, taste and kick of the Chem Dog, but in a pure indica pheno. Jerry gave this plant to Bob. It became known as the West Coast Dog. Bob bred this plant to my Old World Kush male. He took a male from that cross and bred it to the OG cut Putz had sent him. This is what made the original Bubba."HeLLMuTT, May 7, 2011 #4

Yeah - Out there they would have called each other 'Dude!!'

I find it hilarious that he thinks the 5 guys he gave it to know exactly what happened to all the cuts they gave out, etc.
Then there are the seeds that make up the actual "Bubba Kush" strain: Hello?
He knows what happened to every seed germinated?
Want to buy a well-maintained bridge linking Michigan together?
I got one for you; just in your size. Uhhuh.

He claims that the original "Bubba" strain that was pollinated by a Kush hermie is no longer out there... It was only given to 5 close friends so it would not be hard for him to ask them. If his story is true or not I can not confirm, but I do find it to be interesting.

Everything on here is initially labeled as bullshit, then we have to work it back out. lmao. I find it very interesting and the NL part, I did not see it coming at all. lmao.
I saw the bubble gum mix shit and thought that was sure bullshit. Nobody has a better story, so this guys sounds believable to me. I mean I look at it this way. It's been 15 years, if someone had Bubba, they would be cashing in.

I am just gonna have to keep trying all these different Bubba Kush's that I have, until I figure this shit out.

I need a real Bubba like yesterday.
Hope that new seed company is for real... Glad have you heard anything about that Humbolt outfit...?

Nothing at all.
Bought 3 Bubba Seeds and got a free Sour Diesel #2.
Humbolt doesn't sound very original does it?

It's like my Emerald Mountain beans (their website is down, hmm.) -anything from Trinity, Humbolt and i can't remember the third county... Seeds from the northern Cali are branded just based on area. If the company builds a rep, it will be for better reason than just region of origin.

Anyone decide if that emerald triangle company had any decent genetics or stability w their lines?

I'd be more likely to believe this story. I've smoke like 20 different northern light through the years and while some are nice, none have ever reminded me of Bubba in any way shape or form. I also have tasted no major relation to the actual "kush" strains. It does taste just as amazing as any of the Chem d/OG/diesel lines. Funny, not saying I know but Bubba is some killer and unique shit and well Northern and master Kush are good to great, just not that distinctive and fantastic!
