most of the army is on southern education standards, so the comprehension level and reading level for everything is set at about 7th grade, thus you have a bunch of angry wound up killers some of whom arent all that intelligent, ive seen guys who had to get a waiver because they didnt meet the intelligence requirements. mostly southern white homophobic rednecks fit that demigraph. and i cant help but feel that the DADT policy protected anyone who might be targeted for any reason. the army isnt a friendly place, but it beats the civilian world.

for the most part, medics arent so fucked up, but the training is to turn your flight or fight response into a switch that power on all of your aggression, with homicidal rage driving it, and a desire to kill. these things dont leave you, they just turn you loose on society. there are a lot of vets in jail because they get pushed my some punk ass civilian and the switch gets flipped, next thing they know they hurt or killed someone.to want to lead such a pack of wounded dogs you'd have to be a corrupt power hungry megalomaniac.

no it just makes for fewer incidents. its how the army used to operate, make as few incidents as possible and sweep the ones that do occur under the rug.

the army is at a 7th grade level, thats where the education standards were in the 50s and thats when all army doctorine was re-written. i never said they're all stupid, jesus do you people actually read what is written? i said some guys, in a platoon of 35 you'd have roughly 8 morons who needed to be babysat. the rest are just average joes who were duped into signing along the dotted line. mostly for a promise of an education that most never actually use. and many are doing it to support a family. there are a million reasons one could join for, and im not about to try and speculate, i simply said that there are a few really dumb, ignorant, trained, scary individuals the military produces, and those are the ones that are usually causing said incidents.
