What would texas have done after the gulf spill without the federal cleanup? They still be wringing oil out of shrimp n grouper.

Alaska has earthquakes, mudslides and drought as well. We still have plenty water maybe just not enough to grow for and feed the reSt of the us. Texas has been better in the last 10 years but it's not silicon Valley or space x and Tesla in so cal. Alaska is another oil state. Low oil means no money.

Would be great to watch the Mexicans take Texas back. :) Yeah, without the power of the US military Texas would get butt raped by Mexico.

Plus majority of gold is from the west coast so I doubt the Feds will let y'all keep it. The North will win the second civil war too we got the guns, money, allies and power.

I would rather have Texas stay without them crazy right wing lunatics I fear the left will have us all living on government checks while the robots take are jobs and our guns.

Oil and gold price are and have been on the decline. Hard to cover a countries budget like that. Same with fisheries, they won't cover a countries budget. At least I can't think of one. But I'll pay for some crab and salmon!

Texas wouldn't make nearly as much money if it had to sell that gas to the foreign country of USA. Tarrifs would kill profits.

As a black liberal Texan i wouldn't want to be trapped with the Republicans as my sole govt. They'd probably put me in a concentration camp.

The other largest port is in new York. When it comes to natural gas most of it these days comes from Colorado not Texas.
