Hello,
I have a Darkroom II 4'x4'x80" tent. would a 600HPS or a T5 Badboy 16 Buld (Which would fill entire top of tent) be better for flowering?
Heat is not a real big problem because of the CF exiting through the reflector , but I loose about 12" of height. Would there be a big difference
in prodcution?

Thanks

HPS is a point source that radiates high heat temps. The amount/quality of light 3ft from center falls off considerably. The heat has to be extracted. High heat causes plants to consume more water, screwing up rez ppms

KK And your experience with HOT5s is?

The beauty of HOT5s is

1. Broad coverage that is the same from center to end of bulbs
2. Virtually no radiated heat
3. Can be kept within 3" of canopy without burning
4. Various bulbs can be combined in one fixture to better meet flowering needs

Here's mine using an 8 bulb (432w)

I would get multiple @ 4-6 bulb fixtures. It's a bit difficult to reach over plants to replace/change out bulbs in the middle of 8, let alone 16
