t12's

i am planning another box for one of my out buildings, and have about 20 4' 2 bulb t12's. are they worth messing with? i plan on having cfl's for overhead and was thinking about the t12's for side lights.

T12s work just need the right spectrum 5500-6500kalvin for veg 2700-3000kalvin for bloom

T5HO are more efficient,smaller units,more light output,ect
but you can work with what you got,no problems

you'll have a lot of trouble with penetration, but like stated before, they will work.

They are actually inefficient ! Waste of electricity actually. They do not even manufacture 12s anymore.

Spend the money and save some money get t5ho

i guess i should have said i already have these lights, and have seen where i can use t8 bulbs in them. they are 2700k most of them but afew are 6000k.

Stack those T12s on the sides! Here are a couple of my plants, at 16 days from first "flower" ... I use T12s and a CFL array.

i had got these for shop lights and then i came across 6 400 watt mh's for shop lights. may just use them as a mix for the shop and get some t5's for the new box..

I run 4 T12's for side light I run a 600 hps on top. I have had the T12 from my old reptile cages so I have used them if I had extra spending money I would go get the T5"s more efficient. I really like them they do great for side lights
