Stopping LED Light Burn?

I'm growing in a height restricted cabinet, running a Mars Hydro 600w and a Viperspectra 300w (dimable) LED grow lights where about 7" away from the tallest buds before I LST them down.

I noticed I was getting a small amount of albino/white tipped growth on top of my buds. Obviously I cant raise my lights anymore and my plant is tied down as much as possible.

I was thinking since I cant raise them what are some alternatives for dimming / making the mars hydro more mild/soft?

I don't really want to remove a light just trying to get the most out of what I have.

I thought installing a 'light diffuser' would spread the light more widely and make it less intense, whist mixing the spectrum evenly and not changing the light colors/spectrum.

I think LED's are so focused on direct light downwards, which is to intense for my environment.

Would a light diffuser work best?
Would Tinting work?
Any other alternatives?
This is just a temporary fix until i can build a proper light, which will be more adjustable.

Thanks.

What Led,are you using .I have a few and every one Runs cool .The Cob i'm using at the Minute,Runs really cool too.Do you mean light burn has in heat or Bleaching. If its from heat then up grade you out let.Or try a oss fan blowing onto the light ,has it not got a fan built into it.

@tyke1973 LED light burn, to much light, heat isn't an issue and the air is circulated well and exhausts well. Just plants are getting to close to lights during late flower and the lights are just to intense and focused at the range, just after a solution that I can attach if/when the problem occurs.

Thanks for the recommendations @athomegrowing and @Boatguy,

I was wondering if the shade cloth would change the light spectrum's, but that whole spectrum is a debate in itself isn't it.

I used to get bleaching if i had less than 16" from the canopy with CLW Solar Storm 440. Running anything other than florescent lighting in severely height restricted grows is always going to be challenging. You may have to rethink your space if you want to keep using those lights.

Get a par meter so you can accurately dim the lights. At full blast they should be 15-18 inches away, 7 at the right dim will work so you get the same par at a different distance

That's not it.

Your problem is blatant, wanton stupidity. You can put a fucking 100 watt incandescent light bulb 7 inches away and burn shit with it. That's why you're never supposed to have your damn light only 7 inches away.

Fucking DUH!

If you're "height restricted", then just buy your shit. There's no fucking way you're going to grow anything even remotely worth while with only 7 inches of space.

Potatoes, maybe...go subterranean and all...but that's about it.

I'd look into getting a larger grow area if possible.

If you can't get ur LED at LEAST 16" away from the top of ur plant, you WILL bleach it.
Fuck the tent, raise ur lights (900 watts in a tent is insane by the way)

Hmm. Maybe using indirect lighting would work. You can use reflectors or something like that to "bounce" the light on to your plants. How wide is your cabinet? I do this when growing my veggies. I'm height restricted as well, I have a wide tent and it works out very well .

Agree with too much Watts in space, disagree with height claim. The gorilla mini is only 2' tall and many of us have ran many runs in them under LED without bleaching where the lights were muuuuuch closer than 16" and often touching. OP light with that much power may need that kind of distance so fair statement but could be perceived as general rule so posting for clarity.

Why place the light closer than 16"?
You'll get no light spread.
I start my plants under a 4 lamp VHO T5, and if the plant is closer than 6", I will stress the plant.
I never go closer than 8" with T5's, 16" with LED, or 30" with HID, and produce nice plants, but I'm a pussy when it comes too burning my plants.
I use 1 Platinum 360 per 2 plants, and all I know is if the light is closer than 12", I will bleach the cola.

I was good until he used the word Mars...
I grow my plants basically almost into my 100W Samsung strips. Every morning I bend and manipulate them so they don't meet during the day.
Your plants are totally bleached right? /s
