Stumbled across this, have no idea what it is or what it looks like or how much lightoutput it has but they say one fixture covers a 4x8 area, and is only $335,

Wondering if anyone has used or seen one of these being used? If so are they worth looking into, they seem very cheap. Uses luxeon es and sunplus leds.Screenshot_2017-04-11-19-51-41-96.png

everyone we order from learns enough oh which components to use, just not in the proper order. But these guys have inroads to the Round table thru donations etc. so they will figure it out eventually. Order enough from these guys they start looking at what you order and what you do with it. These folks are worse than LEO. They supply parts observe the threads and figure it out from there, making friends along the way. This has turned into business instead of friends helping friends, it is friends getting rich off of friends.:hump: hmmmmm slow motion from the other side hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmbongsmilie

That's only 112 3w diodes. Even in the best binnings it's might be enough for 1 m² but not for 3..
And the driver solution is also not very efficient (48v CV driver with LDD's) and is widely used in aquaristic stuff.

It has a place over some micro greens
This. These are clearly meant for massive vertical veggie farms, not canna. These guys are smart, not crooks. They took what they've learned and developed a product for a specific market, what's wrong with that? They're not even infringing on this market at all... I'm not into the commercial veggie business, maybe steves has a presence there too. Is anyone here considering buying this? Probably not.

Where did I u find out how many diodes are used per fixture?

And

I emailed them and asked about the wattage and what comes in the kit, they told me it's 340 watt draw, and comes with everything needed besides to aluminium angle/tube and hand tools.

Yepp!
Found it on their website under the tab: specifications next to the description.
The kit is made with 16x 7 Luxeon 3w diodes, 8 LDD drivers and one 350w/48v constant voltage driver to drive the LDD's.
There's nothing wrong with the kit and should work like any other kit using quality parts. But like I mentioned above, the driver solution is not the best in terms of efficiency(2. driver for each string) even if the 350w is 96% efficient and the LDD's are 90% you get only 86,4% from the setup. Better use a 94% efficient HLG constant current driver for a series parallel setup.
This of course applies only in the case you want to illuminate a smaller area intensively, if you want to use it on several levels, a solution with 8-times dimming is determined better.
It all depends on what you want to grow with it.

Screenshot_20170412-172110.png Yepp, most probably.. If you can choose color temps for each led like with this pcbs you could build a white/deep red light like cree's gravita replacement design with these kits, of course with half the wattage.
