Stemless?

These northern lights hybrid autos sprouted 2/4. Compared to my first indoor grow they look pretty good. I’m curious though about how they hug the dirt. When I moved them from solo cups to the pots, I left just a bit of stem above the top of the dirt and thought they’d grow vertically, but so far not doing it. Anything to be concerned about?6FC03AB4-1D14-4E0E-8F2A-E2CADCE90CAD.jpeg

Thanks. Droopy most likely because I let them get too dry, watered just before taking this pic

1 stop ph’ing your water. You shouldn’t need to. Your soil should adjust the ph for you.
2 what are you using for an indication that they are ready for water?
3 how much are you giving them at each watering?
4 what distance is your light?

My first thought is/was overwatering.

Thanks. Light is 26” above. Watering when the pots are feeling light, and then watering til it drains out of the sacks.

My water is from a spring with ph around 8.5 and in my prior two plants, my first indoor grow, I didn’t treat it until late in the bloom. They looked awful until I started adjusting ph with 1/4 tsp citric acid powder per gallon. I bought a well-regarded digital ph gadget to measure.

I would think a plant that size in a pot that big could make it more than 3 days. I would think closer to 5.

Making your soil more acidic for no reason just doesn’t make sense to me. Good luck.
