Hello,

Can overcast/rainy weather cause plants to flower early? I just moved my seedlings into their final pots.

Voice of experience here.....

If the plants are too mature and go outside while the days are still too short, yes they will start to flower, and then they will reveg as the days get longer/warmer.

Good luc

Ok, they're still at their first nodes. Days are 13 hours so it should be safe, they haven't flowered yet.

I don't think cloudy days longer than 12 hours would cause them to flower. The sun is a strong light source.

I wait till the days are 14 hrs long, any shorter and they will reveg..

13 hours of daylight is on the egde. If that's sunrise to sunset, then you're really only getting about 10-11 hours of good sunlight, they will probably go into flower as very small plants, or they'll flower/reveg as the days grow longer. The first and last hour of sunlight don't provide much usable light. My outdoor plants start to go into flower in August when there's about 14 hours on sunlight.
