I am planning to grow outdoors next year, so right now picking some good spots. Does anyone have any experiense doint it near Arctic circle 66°?
Somebody from Canada, Alaska or maybe northen EU?

ya grow indicas as sativas dont like the cold. from what i see they can take cold down to -4 - -9 depending on strain but you need one that flowers fast or early to finish intime as our grow season is short

yes it is just takes a lil more work but with autos you should have enough time to finish with a fast auto. or you can build a greenhouse and extend your season

Autos = less nutrients.
please correct me if i'm wrong, but I believe he means that growing so far north will require more work overall. You will probably need to build yourself a greenhouse to get a kick start on the season and to extend the season. You just have to make sure that the plant doesn't get to cold or it will stunt growth.

what EGrower said you would need to build a greenhouse and protect the plants from the cold as the growing season is so short your best bet would be a solar greenhouse. best bet would be start inside then take them outside in the spring. but if you know where you are living you should know when your cut off for snow and frost is so find something that will be done around then or before.

Have no posibility to make a greenhouse, but can start the grow inside, on what weeks of the grow it is safe to move them out? And what the temp should be outside?
There is 4 month what are 100% non frost over here so the cold is not a problem but the temp is not getting very hot either, also the sun is not getting down till late so its like 18 hours of light and only 4 hours of dark during summer...

i would start 4-8 weeks before last frost. temp i would say if you are warm so will she.
with autos they will flower when they are ready they dont look for the sun to flower photoperiod plants would need less sun to start flowering and you can do that your self if you want to cover and uncover the plant every day to force flower

I'm in Whitehorse Yukon, and my girls get planted indoors on May 10th, and outside every year on June 15th. I've always harvested in the 2nd or 3rd week of August, with good results most years. No greenhouse, straight up guerrilla. But, of course, as you already said, autos only. All the autos I buy go from 56-75 days seed to harvest (according to the MFG), and although I've had a few finish early, the majority are 80-85 days for sure.

Straight up guerrilla not possible 100%? Even if I build some kind of deffence from plastic bottles?

Guerrilla grow (for me, at least) means I'm not using a greenhouse, or any kind of covering that would draw attention. The last thing I want is some hiker tearing down a tarp thinking they were saving the environment from random garbage. Obviously, you can determine your own situation and decide whether or not you can create a make-shift cover that won't be detected.
If I had access to private property where the owner would allow it, I would definitely grow in a greenhouse. My little 10x20 yard attached to my condo is not suitable.
That being said, I've never had a year where I lost everything. Some years are better, some worse.

I have over 500 autos made with CS, so growing so much little plants inside and moving them afterwards is not really convenient... I'm sorry, I have nothing to offer as advice using that method. I know in Yukon, if I put seeds out on June 15th, even under a bottle, (a well respected method for germinating roses, which I use) I doubt I would experience any success at all. I need to drop an established plant in the ground; I sometimes even lose a few of those if the night time lows get too low. Perhaps at your latitude your experience may vary, although in your original post you say "near Arctic circle 66°", so I'm not quite sure how close you are to my conditions.
And yeah, that would be really tough to do 500 seedlings indoors using my timeline, unless you actually live in an out-of-use hockey rink with a shit tonne of lighting at the ready.
I only do between 20-25 outside, so plenty of room inside for 3 gallon fabric pots under two 400W MH. You are in another league altogether. Good on ya.

It is maybe just three-four degrees warmer over here at night, during the day almost same temp (June, July, August).
Out of use hockey rink would be nice

i would lose sativis at that temp but at that temp i find indicas can go down to -4 as they are more mountainous plants vs the tropical sativa

Interesting. I have not had that experience, but our conditions could be just dissimilar enough to make a difference. And for the record, I tend to avoid the Sativa heavy hybrids due to the longer flowering times.

ya same i like 6-7 week flowering times this one strain i have now is at 3 days under 8 weeks and looks like it could go one or two more fucked up my whole grow plan as i thought i would be done harvesting my last plants now. im in canada so i need short flowering cold hardy plants. so far it got -7 before in my greenhouse before i added heat to my greenhouse i got some cold damage to a few fan leaves, but after she thawed out she was fine. the damage might of been from when i touched it and seen it was frozen so i heated it up and its been fine
