was hoping someone made something ridiculous with double chambers n stuff:weed:
I did but didn't take any pics. I'd buy the 2" acrylic colored tubing by the foot and flat pieces from their scrap bin at a plastic store and then go to the head shop for bases, mouthpieces, grommets, and stem pieces. I made all kinds. 2 chamber, 3 chamber, and ones that would go from 3 to 2 to 1. Steamrollers too. I gave most away to friends. That was like 25 years ago and don't have them anymore. Still have a couple bases and that shit though, lol.

I made glass pipe cases too, but the cops got the last ones I made.

Best one we ever had was a trophies with the top screwed off and a metal pen housing shoved though the side. A squirt gun cap covered the hole so we could take out the downstem plug it up and screw the trophie top back on

Initially, the local record store sold "head" stuff like those bright-colored acrylic bongs with the aluminum stem and screw-in snap bowl. I think I went through three or four of those. They all ended up leaking stinky bong water everywhere. But after they broke, I'd save the stem and bowl and use them with a plastic plant sprayer bottle. Those lasted for a lot longer and each time I made a new one, it had a little bit better design. They were cheap and disposable.

I didn't buy any glass until the last 10 years or so. I actually liked the way those old aluminum stem snap bowls pulled...can't get the same feel with glass.

The weirdest pipe was one that a friend of mine made from a wooden box, some brass nuts and an aquarium valve thing that you could adjust for the flow.

top, nearest pic i can find to it, the underneath pic is the bottle it was made from. i used a diamond core drill to make the hole in the raised and oval name plate. we used to use a dart to chip a hole in it, but many a bottle was broken if you wern't carefull and patient. we used a length of copper pipe for cold water, 15mm bore and used a push down ground coffee maker fine mesh disk to cut small mesh disks out of to bung down the pipe. it was held in by blue or white tack, depending on what was around. but the police took it1679878937063.png
