yeah but the trichomes are the product we are really after, wouldnt want it all degraded. imo amber is degrading. milky is ideal, cloudy is close.

I look at the calyx, I’ve been on here long enough to at least know that. Wish I could send a pic of the trichs but I’m pretty limited with my little pocket microscope

Right on. You can chop now. It just looks like they might fatten up a bit more to me. I'd give it a week, but if you don't want as heavy of a high chop now. I'm just looking at the buds, not the trichs.

some of those pocket scopes work well if you hold your phone camera against it. Can be pretty fiddly but it's possible sometimes. They make those cheap clip on magnifiers for phone cameras, they are like a couple bucks, super cheap.

Never even seen those, but it suits perfectly. I was wanting a way to put trichome pics up here that wasn’t one of those scopes you plug into your laptop. It didn’t really make sense to me anyways because I think you would need to cut a bud off to look at it, and the only bud I would sacrifice would be shitty larf.

Agreed, the USB scopes are better for viewing dried flower, like at a dispensary or when buying some pounds.

I used one my first time a lot and posted massive pictures asking if they were ready. @Thundercat saved me from chopping too early. Thanks again man. The UBS camera is cool as shit though.
First round a couple weeks before chop. This closeup is a clone only Bodhi Pura Vida. I guess hand selected by Bodhi himself.

I have had a few strains that are better if chopped on the clear / cloudy side but for the most part I like them more stoney. All depends on the strain though. Anytime I run a strain for the first time I like to chop incrementally so I can see where I like it to be. With haze strains I've found most of them are better on the clear / cloudy side. On those I think that milky is too far.Hey it works..
