Seed Found in Harvest - Feminized?

Hi, I just harvested my white widow plants which were grown from feminized seeds. In the harvest I came across one seed - is this seed also feminized? The plants in the crop were all female (never had to pull any males) so I'm not sure exactly how this seed was formed.

Yes it's a fem. You need to put the seed in a bowl or something then sit it in the sun for a days. Need to let it dry out for awhile.

Never dried any seeds like that but it will need dried some if you plan on useing it..fem seeds will show up in fem plants without males around from stress also..Grates on the little one and your grow:)

As soon as u said fem seeds, red flags go up. It is vry common for fem seeds to go hermie, u probley find a couple more seeds. Dont gro hermy seeds as they just gro mor hermys. Definately dont use for breeding. Hermys carry traits that make them mor supseptable to dieases and insects and thc production drops greatly with each crop.

It is impossible for seeds to magically appear in a grow of all female plants, so in this situation you have two possible scenario's.
1) Pollen from a male somewhere (outside perhaps?) got into your room.
2) One of your plants threw a couple "Selfing" male flowers (hermaphrodite) that did the fertilizing.
In the first instance you have a 50/50 chance of the seed being female
In the second instance your odds are somewhere above 90% that the seed will be female.

I read in High times or skunk a few issues back on drying your seeds out for storage.
Has for fem seeds having hermie traits, Bull Shit. I only grow from fem seeds and I have never had any hermie issue. Although I have been blessed with as many as 3 seeds on a few plants over this last year.

Well, I'm sorry to say you have been the recipient of Cannabis pollen from somewhere. The simple fact is to get seeds you must get fertilized.

"Marijuana plants are either male or female. The male Marijuana plants produce pollen which pollinates the flowers of the female Marijuana plant, which once pollenized, produce seeds . If the female Marijuana plant isn't pollenized (if there are no male Marijuana plants nearby producing pollen), the flower/buds continue to develop and produce THC. Female Marijuana plants which are not pollenized are referred to as sinsemilla (without seeds)."

Its not the end of the world, just means you get a couple seeds (bonus) & your girl gets to feel as though she's passing on her genetics.

:-P Thats too funny.....When you have a seed with just X chromosomes, you are certain this seed will grow into a plant that is genetically female. To achieve the XX only plant: a female plant is forced by a hormone called Gibberellic Acid to produce male flowers, the pollen created contains only X chromosomes, when you offer this pollen to another female plant you can be absolutely certain to get seeds which are 100% XX. Once again this seed is called FEMALE SEED.

Yep, thats one way to do it, another is:
To use a Hermaphrodite plant to pollenize other females resulting in mostly female progeny.

I started a line of WW 5 years ago, one hermied & I get about four dozen seeds a year from 20 plants. With out fail they all have been female & I personally know of around 120 germinating including my own and its Killer Weed.
