Root rot and weird stuff

Hey everyone, back from the garden with an update:

My lamb's breath auto is experiencing some root rot and need advice on how to manage. I think I've caught it early enough since it wasn't looking like this 2 days ago when I last checked in.

Set up:
DWC 5gal bucket
Air stone
Phlizon LED lights 4x4
dehumidifier
humidifier
intake + exhaust fans
2 oscillating fans

nutrients:
1/4 strength recommended nutrients
gen hydro flora series plus additives (calmag, hydroguard, flora nectar, diamond nectar, armor Si, Kool bloom, and clonex; mind you I don't use every single nutrient additive on here with every feeding, just sharing what I have in the garden)

I'll post some pictures to show what I'm working with. Hopefully you guys with way more experience can help a sis out!

Issues:
Basically, I check the res and notice a weird slimey sludge just all caked on my air stone. Immediately I look at theroosts to inspect and surely enough similar weird slime going on down there. the roots are also starting to look slight brown but I thought originally that it could've been some staining from the clay pebbles... no matter how much I clean them before each grow theres always a weird reddish sediment that ends up in the roots... She just entered into her flowering stage so I really don't want to kill the plant if I can save her.

Actions to take:
I will be replacing the res AND air stones as well as their tubing just to be safe since I have extra but I'm not sure how to kill root rot so it doesn't come back...
I appreciate the info you all share here so thanks!

That slime is a PITA. You need to get the rez sterilized. Chlorine or h2o2 in the rez. Drop rez temps to 65-68 degrees F.

What order do u mix all those nutes in, most u don't need
So when using armor si, that goes in first, then cal magic if I'm using it, followed by the micro gro then bloom, and then the additives go in but that's only if I'm using them. Like I said I was just sharing the list of products I own but don't necessarily use them all. For this grow I've been using: flora series (micro gro bloom), cal mag, diamond nectar, flora nectar, rapid start, liquid Kool bloom, and hydroguard. I'm thinking it's the diamond nectar, didn't have these issues until introducing it

Kill everything besides Trio, Calmag and hydroguard

The rest is not needed till u understand what your doing

The Si can wreak havok in rezzes big-time, and only needed really for younger plants

Rapid is for seedlings
Kool bloom is for flower
Rest are sugars for flower and not needed

Now this is an awesome reply! Thanks for this info I appreciate the feeding chart! Been trying to find a decent one so I can learn what each of these nutrients are for and how they affect the plant

I agree with eliminating the sugars (flora nectar and probably diamond nectar). The sugars are feeding the bacteria that's causing your slime. I'd probably drop Hydroguard since it clearly isn't working. Then I'd try to go sterile by dropping rez temps and using physan 20 or h2o2 or chlorine. If that doesn't work, then I'd start brewing teas like the thread below or switch to a different system - SIP, Coco, Peat, etc.

Hydroguard works great

But with all the crap he's using, nothing will help

My first grow I used only the maxi grow/ maxi bloom and calMag and it was successful. This time I wanted to try growing with the trio and learn from that but clearly I was doing overkill with all the extra supplements. Might just got back to the maxi series next time lol

The trio is fine

I run it and Calimagic in Veg only

Then add liquid Kool bloom and terminator in flower

That's all...works fantastic
Well I did what was advised and changed the buckets according to the feeding chart you shared.
So in flower, do you still use trio with the Kool bloom and terminator?

Forgot to add the hydroguard/ Southern AG to that list

Like I said, use the same items in veg as flower but add the Kool bloom and Terminator
Changing the ratio per the chart of course of the Trio which turns into two later in flower

too soon to tell yet? how about the difference in appearance? chocolate milk vs water, right?
Oh ya...way different look

Can't really say yea or nea yet. But nothing bad so far, second Rez for my one Flower plant

I'll be doing 3 gravity water systems in like a week when I go camping for 10 days, do will be another good test run

When they stopped allowing hydroguard to be shipped here (super expensive) I made the dive into a chiller and never looked back. Without the chiller it was a root rot battle every spring when temps went up in the lab lol.
