I'm installing my 100 gpd ro now. EC is .455 . It will be plumbed to the kitchen and my grow room. I live in a very rural community. County water but it's probably full of herbicides. Lot's of no till.

Well I'm in Denver, but I have friends in Michigan 8)

I use tap water and it test 323 ppm
And my Michigan well water is 275-300 ppm. Its grows spectacular plants. RO water is incredibly wasteful IMO. For every gallon of RO from the tap about 2 gallons of rejection water goes down the drain.

With RO and not adding CalMag, your plant will miss it, if it's not in your soil beforehand.
The soil that I use is pre amended with lime and oyster shell and what not . ( ocean forest and coco loco) I also add some extra lime and ewc to my base soil so that it would be charged well but it must not have been enough. So are you agreeing that I should add the calmag ? I got General organics . Calmag

You don't add calmag to rain water. Why add it to RO?

Rainwater should have a lot of good stuff in it ? Ro water has nothing ? I tried to just run ro and it is starting to show deficiency signs. I've grown in coco for 2 years so I am pretty used to knowing what a mag or calmag def. looks like in its many ways of showing up on your plants .

Sounds like you have lots of Ca.

Anyway, RO and Rain are very very similar. Pollution and contaminants aside.
