Well I discovered the culprit in my DWC.
Yesterday I added .5ml Clorox to 12 gallon reservoir, because I felt the slime on the inside of my Reservoir.
This morning I checked and it had gotten no better. So I decided to take the baskets out drain the reservoir and clean everything good.
When I removed the baskets, they were just covered with slime, the res. had chunks of slime floating in it. Then I looked at the roots, dark brown, slimy, and nasty smelling. So I removed them from their baskets and began the long process of washing the roots.
I had to cut them back, which I knew would set me back but it's better then loosing the plants. I washed them in a mild Clorox solution, and then used a medium high pressure spray and my hands to remove the dark brown slim. I got them cleaned well and they look good, well compared to what they were like.

What caused the slime?
After I cleaned every thing and was about to put it all back together I call the maker of my nute package. I told them that I had just used their products once and was wondering if I had done something wrong. Well being a nubie I bought what the salesman at the Hydro store told me would be great, even after I discussed my grow, giving him my method how many plants, age of the plants. Talking to the tech guys at the manufacturer told him the same thing I told the sales guy and he said not to use it in deep water culture, it is an organic and should not be used in DWC as it would slime real bad, foam real bad and stink. I would have thought that he had seen my plants. He was so right on.
So I got fked by the Hydro store guy to the tune of about $60, I am going back there and going to try to get my money back or exchange for the right product that the tech guy suggested. I guess when your new you have stupid written on your face and they will take advantage of you.
I will not be adding any nutes right away, but I did have a product for rooting in the stuff I bought that the tech guy said will work well in hydro so I will be adding that.
I plan to drain, clean and wash my reservoir and check the roots and baskets every couple of days till I begin to see root growth again.
I damn near killed them lovely ladies. They look like shit now but I do have new growth with no damage on the new leaves, so I am hoping I will be ok.
Peace Out
