Question about flowering time

I live in the lower peninsula of Michigan(around the middle of the state) and I found a good deal on a strain but the flowering time is 63-77 days. I used to have info on the flowering times around here but I lost it and I can't find the threads. Does anybody know if that is too long of a flowering time for this area?

whats the strain? hybrid sativa dom?

I assume your referring to outdoor... and thats probably gonna be pushing your climate come late September. Build a cover out of greenhouse plastic to keep the due off and you should be fine. If your running huge plants top, top again, then top everything again. Keep your tops plentiful to cut down on huge colas thus preventing mold losses.

You can also put them out a few weeks before solstice and keep them black boxed 12 hours a day to get a jumpstart

Thanks I decided not to go with the strain. But I was looking at KCbrains Afghani special and that was an indica with a 7-10 week flowering time but it also said the harvest is around the end of September. Would this be better?

check out oregongreenseed.com I'm trying a few strains for the first time so can't say for sure what they are like but they are in the portland oregon area and seem legit. Very helpful with emailed questions.

Stoneygirl gardens has developed some good 6-8 week genetics for wetter climates. Check them out. They are out of oregon

Last year I had plants outside from mid may till beginning of October.

I think you'd be fine with a 6-8wk strain, but the end of the season may be cold and wet so be prepared to deal with that or pull early. Or get a quicker finishing strain lol

My plants started flowering around August 12th I believe, and they finished about two months later... Last year was cold and wet for the end of September and into October, but I kept the girls out as long as possible. They even stayed out past the frost to no detriment.

This year I'm doing the same thing. They'll stay out till they finish or I pull them.

I'm excited for this Frisian Dew outdoor this year, and I'd love to get some GG#4 outside like I did last year.

I'm in Southern Michigan.
