Im in michigan and have this strange shit forming at the base of my leaves just on the tops.. i was suggested it to be beet curly top virus but im not seening any info on bctv showing my symptoms.. ive been hitting the plants hard with watering evey day or every other day because of the heat wave.. the dew points have been high lately.
My question is ,, is this bctv or a sign of over watering.. some sorces claim its a phosphorus issue.. heres some pics. This purple is only on a couple tops on three plants . 20220808_161916.jpg20220808_161916.jpg20220808_161900.jpg20220808_161826.jpg

Was that DCcan that said it was beet virus? Go with that bro. Think of this 'odd' behavior that only affects tops as young kids and illnesses. Those young immune systems can barely fend off a harsh attack from germs right? Parents freak.
I think its same deal...young tissue, virus that preys on something those tops cant make stronger fast enough.

Has the soil got plenty of phosphorous, trace elements? , ph off in the soil? , watering abit too much which can aggravate intake of phosphorus..
Lol but anyway...
It's more than likely (imo) due to humidity and dew, and plants getting sun all day will not get this issue but the shaded ones will sometimes, it happens to other growers in Michigan

Yeah they are not getting great sun were theyre at.. they did at first.. i read that dew could cause this.. thats why i added the high dew point comment.. one plant is in full sun and has one top starting this..
So what is this? Is this something that correctable by letting things dry out? Ive just started give alaska morbloom nutes a week ago or so..
Ive seen this on acouple plants like 15 years ago when i grew in similar conditions.. two plants were in basically all shade then ,and it got real bad on them..
