Purple stem and leaves Day 6

Hey guys so i only have one of the Pineapple chunk strains that i has 6 days since it first sprouted from the ground. I use regular soil with a good amount of nutrients not too much and not to low for a started seedling. I have two compact fluorescent lights ,one 6500k 80 watt and one 14w 2700k just for a little of the red spectrum. The scary issue for me as a new grower is the purple leaves that are starting to grow after the first set of true leaves as shown in the picture below. I dont know if its just the strain but both the stem and 2nd set of leaves is purple and the rate of growth has not been very fast when i compared it to that of others on day 6 with the same strain.

Any tips for fellow first grower will be greatly appreciated (pics below to clarify condition and setup)

its too soon to feed nutes, put your light as close as possible. what is regular soil?

Haha , my term for regular soil is cheap 7 dollar from home depot, its nutes were fine but the soil itself has coarse matter like wood and twigs i guess from compost and some smaller pieces of rock which i had taken out.

no worries on that purple stem. its fine. think about upgrading your soil when you transplant. that cheap stuff will hold the moisture for too long and attract mold and bugs

Red stems and leaves is so prevalent now, with many new strains, but not long ago I would have advised to keep an eye on your night times temps, the red is actual anthocyanin or food coloring dye ....lol or just as (K) or phosphorus, a mobile element the the plant use when warm enough ..lol

The puffy leaves shows overwatering. Overwatered seedlings yellow pretty fast so you need to let that soil dry. Seedling stem color is pretty temperature sensitive i've noticed. Alot of seedlings have purple stems, it's nothing.

The cheapest coco blocks around here are only $9 for 30+ liters. Better than buying budget bark ridden crap mix. The wood is budget drainage replacement for perlite.

Any list of good nutes and soil that is organic i have fish bone meal and banana and eggshell grinds for slow release nutes. Plus if i transplant how do i remove the old growing medium with water ??

I transplanted two seedlings on my first grow that were in soaked soil by digging around the seedling and taking a clump of dirt to keep the roots covered and transplanting in some soil i left to dry out so the moisture would spread into the dry soil. I had no issues but it's 50/50. They're so delicate. I wouldn't wash the roots.

my night temps dont go lower than 68F, and if everyone knows how often should seedlings be watered in a solo cup considering it 7 days old and only the top part of the dirt dries from the cfl but the fan keeps the cfl cool.

Floros run cool regardless. Don't worry bout the purple. Your seedling looks normal to me.'don't feed for at least a few weeks then only at a weak rate.

Looks pretty much like my PC at the same age. Yours is a tad over watered but nothing to worry about.
3 weeks into flower, it's a decent producer by the looks

Thought i'd repost to repeat, let the soil dry and don't water heavy until it's big enough and it'll be fine. It's strange how you get responses on this website saying a lime green seedling with yellowing cots and discolored new growth looks "Fine to me."
