Hello fellow growers,
I have been growing two seasons and I have finally put a oil more money into my grow...A.N , jewellers loop r.o. filter etc. Now my issue is... Its June...and I see pistols ( is that spelled right?) on some of my younglings.
Ok I ran out of sensitive grow and my plants looked sad so I said forget it they need something. So I gave them each One gallons dose of iguana juice bloom to try n hold them over til the check came in ya know.
Its been about a week since I gave it to them and I got my loop n the mail today and had me a look and saw pistols on 5 out of the twelve. ( all grown from bag seed)
Do u think the iguana juice is makin them bloom or do u think this is presex? I'm no pro but I know u guys are out there with the answer I'm sure.

Thanks guys in advance.0621151042a.jpg

Negative, once the plants get old enough they will grow pistils on the internodes its just an indication of what the sex will be. If you keep more than 12 hours of light on it theoretically it will stay in veg. Unless its an auto flowering strain. My bubblicious is in 24 hour light and they have all got pistils on them cept the seedlings

Also giving the plant a bloom nutes in veg is fine it won't force the plant into flowering. The plant uses all three macro nutes the entire life cycle. It just uses more potassium and phosphorus in bloom. The only way it might do anythingis if your over feeding it which could stress it and might make it Hermie.

Thanks for the speedy reply. Ok so code 4, phew thought I was gonna have to take drastic measures to try and prevent early bloom.
So is it safe to say watch them for the next week and discard of the ones not showing fem signs? Or should I jus ride it out until August...
Thanks again

If your plants doesn't show signs its fine when you put them under 12/12 they'll show there sex in a few days remove males and enjoy!

Wait until you know. Pistils (Pre-flowers) during VEG. Stage is a positive thing. It shoes good genetics and a strong plant. However don't panic if they don't show sex prior to flowering. When you flower they will show sex and it is still fair game - as to getting a male or female.

Those little spikes are called stipules and they grow on male and female plants.

The white hairs I see would lead me to think its a female but It may be a little early. Most plants won't reveal themselves until after 12/12. But I'm not as experienced as these guys It just looks like one of my girls did before I got it on 12/12.0621151042a.png

Ok I went and double checked them all and now I have found the same on 7 out of the 12....
I have noticed that when I top a plant 5 out of 6 will be female.
Is this do to survival purposes. I figure that because if one male has five females to pollinate better right. Also that experiment was done wit all six plants in close proximity n the same raised bed...not sure really gonna watch some YouTube and read some stuff here about early preflowers
etc.
