Pineapple Express: Smoke Report

If the Pineapple Exp. had the light to itself probably would've been over 4oz.
The stretchy phenotype was the keeper sweet Tropical Fruits + soaring head high.
I didn't keep the big yield/more indica phenotypes because there was less flavor+potency.

Their Cheese (3freebie) is my favorite tasting heavy yielder.
8 tops > 18" tall > 2 oz. dry>Each top ~5g + over 14g secondary side buds
Loved it more then the Pinex I paid for!

I feel the reality of the matter is this... You always have to have some type of trade off. You can't seem to get a complete package on anything.

And I think that's because almost everything is missbred.

And I don't think that breeders really have any idea what they are doing, other then putting 2 things together they see as being dank from smoking them.

Wonderbud however, I'd have to catagorize, as being the complete package. And I think that the 4th back cross to the Thunderstruck clone bears out what I am saying to some degree...

But to be honest, I'd also have to say, that it isn't because anyone was so smart or adept at breeding, in WBs creation. But inspite of the fact instead.

What I mean by that is: In Wonderbud's breeding, (which is a long and winding road of many generations and stories)

It was early in the creation of Wonderbud. We had crossed some of those 5000 jamaican indicas we had, with the original seed banks garlic bud. And Bill had inbred the cross between the 2 for a number of generations.

Bill arrived at a crop, of very superior quality from the original cross (jamaicans x garlic bud). 2 females in particular, seemed to have it all. Bill bred into, both females with a stout fragrant male. I'd never seen the like before, Bill was so confident, he didn't keep any clones. And kept no seeds from previous crops.

So, when he started his new Wonder seeds, well they weren't much of a wonder. More the quality of ditchweed, then the incredible nitro we had experienced a generation before...

I suppose most people, would have gave up on that note. But we went on, and ended up producing (a long time later) what I feel are the best genetics, the complete package. Speed, taste, bouquet, aroma, yield, quality, potency, even has great bag appeal.

An even more extreme example perhaps, is my Wonderjacks clone, I went to great lengths to aquire it. Even Bill saw no value, in the seeds I coveted.

But from a wild ditch herm mother, I stirred the genetic pool in ways, that I don't fully comprehend myself as of yet. But the clone (Wonderjacks) is perhaps the most impressive thing I've ever seen. It is incredible outdoors, and has shown similar results under my fluroscent bloom box lighting indoors. I've already done some genetic work with this clone, crossing it with a Dinafem Blue Hash, and into the the 4th back cross to the Wonder Thunderstruck clone.

Next the Wonderjacks clone goes under the big HIDs (MH and HPS). Once I get that information, I will have a more complete picture of its workings :)

(If you check my other thread review of Bhutanese Thumphui. You will see, I think the flavor of the Bhutanese tastes similar to ditch weed. It's not as bad a flavor as the Pineapple express female I grew. But, it does in fact taste very similar to ditchweed.) My Bhutanese tasted awesome, sweet as fuck, and so did my pineapple express. Why does your shit taste bad?

curious about your medium and flush process. my pineapple express, while maybe not specifically pineapple, was definitely deliciously citrus.

Sounds like he doesn't let them flower long enough to get the full flavor, or extremely unlucky with phenotypes.
I'm sure he already knows that harvesting early is the biggest mistake, so it must be the luck of the draw.

Tried my first harvest of PE earlier today. Only been in jars for a few weeks, so the taste was "green", but for some reason I decided to not vape the whole stem full. Glad I didn't. It definitely creeped up on me, I got pretty toasty. I like putting a new strain in my rotation, and PE is a good one. Not a strain I would vape and go out in public afterwards though, my eyes were red, moreso than any other strain I have right now.

The one I kept was tested last weekend @ HT mobile testing: 23.61% Total
It tastes crazy like Tropical Citrus, very unique.
It's also has the Trichome coverage very similar to The White.
I haven't made hash yet, but I'm guessing it will be top notch.

Huh now I am worried I grew out (2) G13 PE beans I received from the tude back in 2010 Both looked and grew about the same one I call A @56 days B @61 now 1 week dry and still a little damp but weird thing is, unless you crush it up no smell at all and right now the taste is next to nothing along with the high sigh 3 month of work. I inculded pic's and will post a smoke report soon but as of right now I am not impressed at all.2013-10-22 19.20.40 - Copy.jpg2013-10-22 18.22.22 - Copy.jpg

Yeah I think I jumped the gun a bit waiting for a full cure before Ii pass judgment, cause when I trimmed it smelled a lot like those tropical flavored lifesavers. I will post a smoke report along with pics growing times and weights when I feel it has properly cured. That and I think it needs at least 9 weeks maybe more?

BTW I flushed it 2 weeks and I don't care how good it is I would never smack my dog! I may spank my monkey but never my dog.

I'm growing g13 PE right now and she is a beautiful plant. At 4 weeks flower 12/12FS, she has a 1 foot cola as big as a 12oz water bottle and tight dense buds. She smells very tropical fruity. I was hoping to breed her but my CS experiment didn't work out, so I'll have to get another bean and try again. I'll deliver a smoke report when she is done.

I loved mine. Taste was good even before I switched my grow technique to natural and soil, like toxic grapefruit and I mean that in a good way. Yield was ridiculous, buds would drag my plant to the ground if i didn't watch it. This was one strain I grew that did well no matter my technique I even soup grew one in pure perlite 2 gallon container and it was still superior. Good strain for tropical citrus flavor.

I think Vince has some attention needs and ego problems. You've got issues when you think EVERY breeder sucks. I look at what I did wrong, and that's usually the best place to put the blame.

Is Vincent VonBlown still around?
I just started some old superjack from them. Way old seed, out of fifteen I got five to germ so far.
Grew them many years ago large plants extremely potent sickly sweet flavor. Will see how they do in Hawaii

I just vaped a little pineapple express I just cut down. Super chunky short indica style plant. Didn't have much of a smell but in vape it tasted similar to canned pineapple.

Was pleasantly surprised, nice stone to it too.20210726_180545.jpg
