Ph tester water or soil?

I was wondering whats more important a soil ph meter or a water ph meter? I have a cheap 5 soil ph tester but it's kinda crap and i just broke it. Its one of the cheap green ones. So I wanna buy a good meter for both but I can only get one or the other right now. So which one would be better for right now?

In my experience, water tester are cheaper and I think more accurate. If you have very moist soil you can just stick the sensor in the soil, if not mix the soil with some distilled water and find a dilution factor on the net (this is your most accurate way).
