Thrips, aphids, etc.. Pics would help. If they are coming from the soil, toss some gravel, sand or whatever on the topsoil. They hate that shit.

Your description is very vague.

You could have any of the following.

Springtails
Hypoaspis miles
Mould mites
Bulb mites
Root aphids

Google the above to look for images and see if any of the above match yours.

Then come back to me with which you have identified and we'll see if we can't get you sorted.

Defo soil dwellers none on leaves checked with scope?

Probably springtails.

Do they look like slender grains of rice?

When you water if they're springtails you'll see them jumping.

If you had thrips you'd find them on the leaves before the soil.

If they are springtails they very rarely do any damage to well established plants and are a natural part of a healthy soil.

like mentioned if they was thrips they would of effected leaves first also you will get thrip damage from thrips silvery slimey looking stains on leaves
this year has seen a higher amount of people with springtails i luckily enough havnt had any problems other than thrips this year

But yes the r like minute grains of rice but no jumping only crawling but the move like lightning..

They have to be startled in order to be seen jumping.

Try watering and watching the soil surface closely.

Make sure you flood the top of your soil then you'll see some jumping.
