Panama Red Death rdwc with MarsHydro fce6500.

This time around Panama Red Death with the MarsHydro fce6500 .

I started these regular seeds a while back sexing for the ladies taking cuttings for my totes.

These were then planted 28 days ago.

A nip a tuck and few bumps along the way, that the rollitup community helped me resolve.

My base of RO water has and will always be adjusted properly now.

Ph 5.9 ( this drops .2 each day so I have lowered my ec a bit ) and turned up from 450 ppfd to 5

Water temp set to 19.5C

Ec .8 ( was.86) (.3 of which is calmag)

eta to flower 6 days and then just before Halloween I should have some Panama Red Death spears.

Yes , I did see that.

I have been following him on the gram for a while now watching the things he and a few friends have put together.

Water temp raised back up to 20c couple days back.

ph falls . 3 over 10-12hrs , last few days I have been using 3ml of gro-silic to bump back up.
Ec .81-.82

Pushing a bit with light still at 550ppm and I don’t see any complaints.

I see a few of the spots on the older primary’s that were involved when the calmag was a bit off so will keep an eye with no change.

Cut a few of those larger marked leaves off.

Water level going down slowly.

I was also intrigued by this new Wifi box MarsHydro has out , so I have gotten one to play with.

This unit suppose to turn your lights on and off , for myself I have a heavy gauged timer hardwired in. So I had to power that on full time to start.

Included are a couple wire connectors to connect the tinned wires.

Personally used small yellow twist on connectors.

There is a second video for programming your app.

Once you take the time and absorb that , perhaps you will get it. I am hopeful.

MarsHydro has created a “scene” they call it.

This timeline is for 1 day , so if you run you light during any one day then 1 time will work.

Personally I run my lights through the night when it’s cooler and a bit cheaper so I would have for eg. 00:00-09:00 and a 15:00-23:59 giving me a minute short of 18hrs.

App gives errors when trying to select 12pm , blah blah start time.

I have contacted them about it , but no resolve to date.

There are some slight differences today

Back left was rotated around to give more room inside.

Just waiting on these . They were always a bit slower , not quite the sativa looking as some of the others.

After the last dose of orca then 25ml of silic the ph is much more stable.

Changed temp of water back to 19c.

Couple days more .

With the added 5 gallons with silic I also got my ec down to 780.

Last night was a bit shorter and tonight is first 12 hr shift.

Water was dumped yesterday and renewed.

Using botanicare transition mixing rate 10ml base, 6 grow and 6 bloom.

Ro water with calmag , .3ec
Nutes mixed to .75ec

Results over 24hr .
Ph has fallen half a point .
ec is down .69.
Water is down a bit .

Plants, well there look energetic today.

Ec raised to .84 , ph adjusted a bit over 6 to watch.

About mid day for the ladies and bed for me but the ocd of my pen kicks in and needs a dip.

Ph has fallen .15 to 5.9. Ec is down to .79. Ok

peek inside , looks ok. Remembering that I had turned the dimmer up 2% I picked up spoton to check and was a bit hot and more of a bumping.
Adjusted to 500.

More feed . Ec .92 ph 6.

7 hrs later. Well well. Ec.9 ph6.08.
level is down.

Perfect , now a marathon of manage.

Hey bro fellow rdwc grower here, very similar setup too you by the looks except I went with airstones, should just fuck around and change it too waterfall but cbf. Your girls are looking great mate if I could just offer you one piece of advice it would be too chill out with taking readings and fucking around adjusting pH...

Ideally your pH should be rising and your ec static or falling. If I've read it right you appear too be adding pH up? I don't think I've ever opened pH up haha

But yeah my first grow I was anal checking all the time but found it too be more trouble than it was worth so now I just add my nutes and walk I don't add pH adjusters I just let my pH swing and then with my topoff res it keeps adding fresh nutrients which keeps everything in check

II've found middle off flower I can leave my room unattended for a week with a 40 gallon topoff res. Crazy walking in after a few days and seeing them grow its really quite unbelievable how fast they grow when everything is dialed in!

Have you got a topoff res plumbed in? They don't drink anything in veg but now your in flower they will start lapping it up!

For the past two weeks the swings down have been very similar to root rot issues I have experienced. But with the guards I use should not be a concern.

The last run I did I just ran the falls and it worked well , now when I cleaned up I thought there would be more root mass.

Theses tote are quite a bit larger than the 5 gallon bucket I used back in the day when I dabbled this route before.

Root still slowed my return flow but was thinking , could there be more.

So this time it’s both for now.

No extra top off, I have I considered it but top off 5 gallons every other day or each once they really start drinking.

I do use ph up to bring my nutes back to 6 but when my totes tanks like that, 2-3 ml of gro-silic works great.

It is amazing to see how fast they do grow each day when things are right.

Ladies are growing. I can see there up to the black zipper seams around the sizes.

Everything is still falling , maybe not as quick but still.

Ec .87 and ph 5.4

4 gallons added to top up.

Ec raised to 1.02 ph 6.05 , this works out to 50% of bottle dose mixing rate.

Freshly spread out , tucked if needed or pulled out into the lights .

It’s go time for Panama Red Death.

Everything is still falling but one must stop at some point and take a breath.

ec .98 , ph 6.15 running through the numbers to 5.5

All that growth in just 8 days? Wow man, congrats, looks like you got it dialed in!

When things are growing well they can grow quickly.

I was always hopeful the other phenotype would have grown quicker , there just so dense , short noded.

Took a few breaths , smoked a few and a beer .

These girls have and appetite that hasn’t been found. I have yet to cut anything off, but have tried to manipulate lower branches to bend up using clips , supercropped a couple .

As I watch things grow i have decided to do musical totes.

With the layout I have there’s a bit more room up front so the two on the left have swapped.

More training clips ,ties added to give every branch a chance to participate by levelimg with other two. I would think it’s all up from here.

Never met such a hungry group. I really thought at 1ec things would come around.

Nice grow an crazy roots. Panama red death, very intriguing name. Would these be panama red ( or the ace version called just panama ?) crossed to the mexican death weed ? Or is the death part something else ?

The Panama Red come from a seeded flower he was given by snow high seed at the 2018 emerald cup.
This was used to create,
Red Death( Punta Roja x Killer Malawi) x Panama Red.
