just regular sharp sand? Does this not throw the pH off or do you rinse in PhD water first?

local sharp sand builders use for concrete.
I guess you can rinse the sand, don't think the sand effects the ph, I have used it for years without any problems.

To the OP:
I'll be happy to assist, as Rollitup has always had a rep as Trollitup...this section in particular.
Don't over-analyze, whichever poster mention lack of N during early flower is possibly the most accurate assessment.
I've had this condition, and he or she was correct in that no amount of N added will correct the damaged leaves; which you don't want much of at your stage anyways.

Use a 4-4-8 or something thereabouts, also don’t be feeding it epsom/mg as it can lockout K.
