Obama's ability as president is just embarrassing.

"He is honest, he is straightforward, he is sincere. And the budget he came forward with is just like Paul Ryan. It is a sensible, straightforward, honest, serious budget and it cut the budget deficit just like we did by four trillion dollars."

"The president came out with his own plan. And the president, as you remember, came out with a budget. And I don't think anybody took that budget very seriously," Bowles continues.

Obama's plan was voted down 97-0 (ZERO) not even other Democrats were willing to vote for his ridiculous budget.

I'm no fortune teller, but I'm thinking Obama will be staying for another four years. Who knows for sure? Remember the newspapers ran the story saying "Dewey Defeats Truman" - Wrong!

Don't bet on it, this is a much closer race than Liberal media wants to admit. I think its funny they ignore polls when Obama is losing.

One thing I have certainly noticed. On more and more sites, fewer and fewer people are defending Obama.
It is like a 1 in 5 or so thing now.

I think Obama has very little chance. Biden is really killing their chances as well. Seems he cant go anywhere now without doing or saying something completely stupid. Obama has his own Palin to deal with now.

I have noticed that trend also. A news story most large media didn't bother to report is the long lines of illegal applying for Obama's back door amnesty to get jobs, I assume the reason is because the feedback was 95% negative. It one thing giving amnesty is another thing to dump a million people on the system looking for jobs that we don't have.

This is going to be a Carter Redux.

Back in August of 1980, another once popular liberal Jimmy Carter was leading Ronald Reagan in almost every national poll and we all know what happened in November, Reagan won by a landslide!

Barack Obama will be a repeat one termer come November.

The results will all depend upon how successful the Republican voter supression campaign is. PA is case in point, the new Voter ID law may disenfranchise 700k voters and Obama won the state with a margin of 600k voters. Republicans in PA have changed the ID requirements and so many voters do not know that they will be turned away at the polls with the ID that they have been using for decades.

There is even a video of a Republican State Senate leader saying something along the lines of
"Voter ID - done, now the state will go to Romney"

The Iran Hostage crisis had a HUGE role in that

and I don't think Romney is Ronald Reagan, but hey think like you must

No I think its more along the lines that Obama now has a record to run on and people don't believe that hope and change crap any longer. Reality set in and more people would rather spend the free time rubbing one out than voting for Obama again. Again purely assumption.;-)

HUGE role. Also the great soundbite that played well "If your neighbor loses his job it's called a recession, if you lose your job it's a depression, if Carter loses his job it's called a recovery".

A great soundbite will win this one too, it's that close.

But the failing economy will have a HUGE role this cycle and sorry, Romney doesn't have to be Reagan, that's an irrelevant analogy.

True, but in an ADD society we now live in, where we can only take our news in headlines without real substance he's going to have to say something rememberable and quotable. I.E. "hope and change". Forward kinda sucks, Obama's people are better than this.

edit: this is how Newt hung around so long, the dude is a soundbite machine.

Except the economy isn't failing Beenthere.

Let's look at the facts for a moment.

Republican policies, actions or inactions precipitated our economic problems
Replicans have been obstucting any attempt by Obama to help move things along
Republicans are doing their best to mischaracterize Obama and his presidency thus far
Republicans are subverting and distorting our election process in a dozen states.

Two things should be clear:

1. Republicans don't have an idea or plan to put forth that hasn't already proved to be a failure
2. Republicans are interested only in gaining power and have no care for the state America is in.

Given all of this, why would any American vote for any Republican?
