Hey nugs I have been reading and reading on your artful passion and am truly inspired. I just started growing(by just started I mean 8 days ago) I am experimenting with DIY hydroponics bubble buckets. I am planning on using your main-lining technique to keep my plants canopy even and manageable. How long do your grows take from start to seed and how much do you yield? I'm very excited to do this project and am hoping it can be therapeutic in its process. Thanks so much for your generous out pouring of knowledge. If you'd like to see my setup I have pictures at: https://www.rollitup.org/dwc-bubbleponics/801539-anyone-bubbleponics-pro.html
in this section of the forum you will find mostly people passionate about soil growing, I would strongly recommend you try it the first time ... fairly likely that you will fail your first time growing hydroponically so dont waste your time trying to figure out what you did wrong and start growing with supersoil, you will thank me later. How long do grow take from start to seed is about 0 second if you are asking from start to finish it is possible to get results within 80-90 days if you grow 12\12 from seed (light schedule 12 hours a day from start to finish) otherwise it all depends on your veg time ... and also what strains you are growing.

you can visit my thread (link in my signature) if you have questions about 12\12 from seed as far as hydroponic goes I can not help, I preach for soil

......so Sundays work really well for me to do some photo update work on this thread, so that is what i plan to do....things are getting really busy here, but i have off work sundays....so mark your calenders!......so 6 of 6 on the ace cuts shoebox style.....

main-lined kush run.....i culled my dna cataract plant already, and gave the other to my buddy....mine was lanky and fucked up, looked like a hempy male.....so in to the compost it went....i don't fuck around when it comes to plants that are goofy from the start.....so sorry dna, but your girl already didn't make the grade.......i have to say though, that i like the dna sour kush plant the best.......i wish i had room to crack my ripped and qush now, but my legal threshold is maxed...

then the last pic is 8 new cuts of the kushes and my d-train#3.....i was in a hurry when i took them this morning, and they were thick stemed, and i forced them into the rooters, they all got really wilty, and i thought i was going to lose them, but they all perked up, so we will see who makes it.....if they all pull through, man, the shoebox method is the real deal....thats about it for this week.........flower shots coming next week.......stay tuned, nugs

Yeah, hes not around anymore. Being a celebrity must be very busy work. I wonder how subcool does it, makes videos, is sick, runs a business, grows weed, etc.

Hey Nugbucket, I'm starting a single plant and plan on mainlining it just like you have taught us. I've got a 3x3x6 foot sealed tent and would like to keep the plant totally confined to a 3x3x3 foot space to allow some nice distance for some powerful LEDs. I'm thinking of doing a 32 or 64 cola scrog but I'm a bit concerned about height. How do I keep the mainlining technique intact while filling out the 3x3 foot space horizontally without the colas near the center of the scrog being taller than the ones at the perimeter. All of the mainline plants I've seen grow up very steep after the 3rd topping. Is there anyway to help the mainline grow out sideways and down even to allow for maximum growth with minimum height? Maybe I should just do a straight scrog but I do love the balance the mainlining brings to growing.

Hi nugs, I'm working on my first main lining plant and I'm at the point where I have the 8 colas I'm going to grow out. I see that new colas are coming off the main ones and wonder if I should cut them off and only have the main colas growing.?
TIA,
V

Once you get to the point that you add the canopy ring and get her ready for flower you clean up everything that is not above your canopy ring. I'm pretty sure he touches on this in the first 3-4 pages

Thanks for the reply and info. I didn't realize how old this thread was when I got on it, but the mainlining is still I good meathoud of growing and I'm very impressed with the way my first attempt is progressing. I'll post some pics when I figure out how to do it.
Later.

Is this a 32or64 scog? Thx in advance
I'm hoping you figured this out by now brother, but I do apologize for the non-response... I dont have much time lately, I was actually just in coincidence trying to step my cannabutter game up and randomly searching... Then I figured RIU would be the first place and saw the alerts... As I said I'm sure/hope you figured this out already but I'm fairly positive he was doing some 3x3's meaning 36inches x 36inches, not sure on the heights of said tents but he was using 600's...... 1 plant per tent I do believe... The man is on point to say the least so if you havent found your way to his thread; do so... Also geekmike's grow rings a bell too, I dont know check out both of their grow threads under the subcool sub forum... Both definitely will get you right one way or another... And if my retarded words are any indication of the finger swipe of hot butter I stuck on my tongue....

butter game stepped up:clap::hump:... I'm partially tripping I think...

Well my Main line has been done harvested and cured by now and I got 5.5 oz of dry buds and some kick ass smoke. It was a SourCream and it came out very well and it was a lot of fun doing it. What more can you ask.
I was also growing an auto Heavy Bud at the same time and it yielded 5 oz after only 93 days from seed and it will knock your socks off.

Nada-dayum thing wrong with that my friend... I do both scrogs and mainline...(or try to)... Scrogs are good for plants that are bushy, have a lot of secondary branching habits... Mainlining is more suited to plants that don't have tend to have a lot of secondaries... I have 2 phenos of the void, 1 I can grow 2 liter sized buds with and the other likes a scrog screen for a better yeild... It's all about finding a couple good strains from seed and cloning them and growing them to perfection, when you can duplicate your results every time u grow it, that's when you're on point and need no help... I'm close but still not there, soon/almost but quite...

Good luck on the next ones...

....so, a little about me and my situation.......2 years ago, i got sick...really sick....like, i wanted to end my life sick......which was substantial considering i have two beautiful kids that are my very breath........but i was fucked...i contracted Lyme for the third time, and it moved into my nervous system and heart, threatening my life.....to make a long story short, i ended up having to take very powerful anti-biotics for 8 months straight.......they saved me, but now a year later i am still trying to heal from the destructive nature of the drugs......my guts are a mess....because anti-biotics also kill the good bacteria and enzymes in your gut, and your gut is 80% of your immune system.....i could go on and on....but i won't.......one of the major tools i have found on my healing journey is the power of juicing organic fruits and veggies.....and i juice almost daily.....i have also just begun to juice raw cannabis, and am hoping that it will enable my immune system to regulate itself once again........anyways, one of the perks of juicing, is the incredible ammount of pulp you get.......it just so happens to be the perfect consistancy for worms to turn into castings very quickly......i recommend juicing to anyone wanting to improve their health.......and the castings you can produce are far superior to any you can buy anywhere! so without further ado.......worm food....and my food!

I can definitely relate to you about this. I got extremely sick and the antibiotics ended up giving me a serious case of thrush that took months to finally get rid of. I have been drinking fruit and veggie smoothies with hemp powder everyday and haven't felt better. Thanks for all the great info and I look forward to learning more from you as I read through this sub!
