Hey all....
I'm growing under a 200w, dimmable, 3500 citizen cob setup that is about 13" from the tops growing in FFOF, 2x2, 4 sq. ft. The light is currently at full power. I've not grown with it before, first time. My last light was a 400w hps.
I've currently got two plants going. A Jack Herer that has been fim'ed and a Papaya plant that is doing something I haven't personally experienced but have seen in other grows I think. My temps are running from about 75 to 90 lights on depending on where the ambient temps is throughout the day. Humidity has been between 25% and 40%.
The Papaya plant has been growing a little slow, not keeping up with the JH. That in itself isn't an issue as I've had runts turn out to be monsters as we all have.
In this pic, you can see a single leaf that grew out of the top of the plant...
This leaf grew out of here..
And I've got curved leaves..
These curved leaves are coming out of the shoots from where the single leaf top is. What this looks like to me is that the plant "topped" itself. The single leaf coming out of the top of the plant forced it to shoot out two new tops as if it had been topped.
If this is the case, I may as well top it, take the single leaf out, and mainline it since it's there already. Your thoughts on this are appreciated.
I don't know what to attribute this to. I tend to err to the amount of light, too much for this strain, as everything else in this box is what I've always done with great results.
I've got some 6 "guests" of my across the street neighbor in my box as well and there isn't anything like this on his or the JH I'm growing.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks!
