Don't know where this goes. But I want to get ready for next season. I've been googling light setups. I want to start my seedlings indoors next round. Get at least a month ahead of last frost. I started APR 27th this year.

Anyway any good articles or stickies? I plan on only 4-5 seedlings. All personal stash. Some leeches come around here and there but 4-5 plants should be good.

I will finish outdoor BTW

I wouldn't also be interested in this. I don't really know much about lights, but would love to get my
plants started early. Also, the best lights for cloning to ;) I fried my last clone lol

I think the best bang for your buck would be to CFL's or t5 bulbs if all you want to do is young veg/clones only. You could probably setup something pretty cheap looking in the DIY forums or just go the tent route which would add up in costs quickly.

edit- Also just wanted to add that you should play with this amazing plant year round! Setup a cheap indoor grow when you get done with all that trimming, you don't have to spend all the money that you might think. It'll keep you busy during the cold winter and let you have primo plants ready to go when outdoors comes along again.

man i would love to do that, but learning how to take care of these plants outside stressed me out enough lol maybe soon ill start looking into it. But id have to grow it in my garage probly... If it stays a pretty consistent temperature, not to cold or to hot, and itl be in a huge cabinet, would that suffice?

Yea pretty much just want for vegging. I got a good climate during grow season. You know I do want to play around indoor. But cost is some what of a drag. I used one t5 for two seedlings this season. But not for the entire veg phase. Rather a supplement all light when I brought the seedlings in for safety concerns. Like wind , or animals safety wise. There's just so much stuff out there on Google. And I learned lots is misinformed.

I didn't know there was a DIY section...thanks

sure that's not all. You gotta set it up right. Containers and such. Soil and water and what not. I have a perfect spot in the garage. Get some cheap fixtures hang em (adjustable type hang). Hmmmm.

I used the T8 for seedlings. Only at times. They were stricktly outdoor otherwise. Our adopted crazy ass homegirl left it. She used to cut hair. CTFU... So put some reflector on it and use the dome with a CFL. Good For a few Vegges? Like at the most 3 but more likely two. I have to many kids running around at times. But then I do have a small cabinet. Can I beat the procrastination....:wall: :blsmoke: Either way I'm almost set. Some more reading and get misinformed out the ears first. HAHAHAHA :eyesmoke:Happy growing

People told me T5s and some say T8s. Gotta read up on it. How many bulbs per so many pots. Also calculate the energy drawn. That way I can calculate the expense. Turn off the tv and computer a lot more to make up the difference:dunce::eyesmoke:

The four light looks spot on. But I'm going caveman style. Work with what I have for now. BigB 420 should be good to go. The 12.97 looks right. I have one already. Dude, it's going to be hard not to splurge tho.

Yea you want the Cool White for Veg.

The only difference between the T5's and the T8's is the bulb size the T8's are the bigger in diameter same output tho.

The time to go out and fert./prep your outdoor soil is now. You also want that as ready as you can get it.
