And this is my first attempt at growing our beloved weed here on the south coast of England. I am really just posting this to share my slug defence system which actually works. So what you do is get some roofing felt (I used offcuts from re-roofing my garden shed).You cut it into 4 inch wide strips and stick 2 inch wide copper tape to the smooth side (got if from ebay) and then bury the uncovered part in the ground surrounding the plant. It really works.
