It's great to finaly start one of these. My situation right now is I've got 2 4.5ft.
unknown sativas and 3 clones that now have 8-10 inch roots. The adults are in soil and have just started flowering. The pots are way to small but I'm not going to be dicking around with a transplant right now. I have a small bug problem, little black things smaller then a period. The clones were first put in plastic cups covered in duct tape to light proof, then once they started showing roots I moved them into my ebb and flow area (the future flowering area) where they were until I got the vegging area together with a tetra 100 air pump. I'm using flora nutes and I used the cheapest cloning powder I could find. I'm using hydroton only as I'm terrified of pH problems. The adults are under a 400w MH but I can put hps in if I had a bulb. I'm hoping for harvest around thanksgiving. I live in seattle. wa if you want to know about the climate. I know I left some stuff out so if there are any pictures or info you want just ask.

I was having trouble getting the bubbles under every plant but I worked it out today. I didn't anticipate there being so many valves and tubing issues. Everything is ok though now. I'm a little concerned that the big girls haven't started flowering yet.
when my power went out about a mont ago they started showing a little more pre-flowers, nothing though yet, I hope that everything is light proof.

good to hear, set up wise the ebb and flow was really easy, especially considering the awkward shape of my grow-shed.

Heres some more pics, it's a couples days later from the first pics, everything seems to be growing at the rate that I expected. The adults are growing slow because they need a transplant really bad I think. As you can see I use flora nutes, and Rootone rooting hormone. My clones take about 1-2 weeks to root (a really long time.) One method that I use to increase my yield is cutting off the top of the plant. this creates two shoot insead of one (which is especially important if your growing sativa. It's actually a strange way that I got these seeds, my friends friend used to grow, he had about 200 seeds, gave them all to my friend, he gave me 15 for free. The reason I think it's strange is all the seeds make girls, their feminised. I figure that someone bought some feminised seeds from a seed bank, made one into a male (I here theres spray) and made some feminised seeds which are what I have.

Wow, that looks identical to my old setup (as a tear falls)...
I never got a harvest out of it, but I learned sooo much. Good luck, keep in touch with this sight and you will be golden...

The first grow I got 3 of 3 males. The next grow I got root rot. The water temp must stay below 70F. Also use H2O2 and/or HydroGuard to keep the rez sterile. Change it every two weeks unless it starts to have an odor, in that case change it out right away and resterilize. Good luck, you will do great. If I would have just kept my temps low I would have been fine..

Good actually, I don't think that I have to worry about the temps this time of year, I just have to stop the water from freezing.

I just realised that I already have some H2O2 around the house, how much should I use though per gallon?

Some pics are probably coming tomorrow. I checked on them today, they clones look about 1-3 inches taller and very healthy, although the vertically challenged ones roots don't seem tom be growing longer then 2 centemeters. I think that it's been completely water deprived over the weekend but show no sighns of stress other than the size. The two flowering mothers looked ok health wise but I was rushed and didn't get a better look than that. I could really use some advise on transplanting the mothers. I would if they were still in veggitative growth but I'm affraid that the stress could really damage bud quallity and/or quantity. Any advise on the H2O2 yet, I read the label on the bottle that said that the bottle was only 3% H2O2 even though it reeked.

Everything that I just said was a lie, I would never dream of breaking the law. This is only a role playing game for me.
