New inspired grower seeks help

This is my first grow and we are at day 12-13. Im using a 50/50 combo of frog farm and ocean forest. No nutrients yet. These are bad seeds and we germ’d ourselves in wet paper towels over 3-5 days. We got a tent and we are doing 18/6 for light with an LED 1000w with fan. Temp in room has been low 70s and humidity high 60s. Any pointers out there or critiques on our plants? We want the biggest and healthiest we can get!

Welcome to RIU. It’s always good to see new growers learning more. What LED do you have? Be warned that while the model calls it 1000w, it’s likely much less. A lot of the cheaper blurple LEDs call the model 1000w or 1200w, but the actual draw is closer to 100-200 watts. Contrary to some others, I don’t recommend HID. For less power you can get better results with a quality LED like an HLG or Amare.

I use Led in veg and HPS in flower. I've never come across an LED that performs anywhere near as well as hps in flower unless it's prohibitively expensive.

A 600w Sunmaster Super in an air cooled hood takes some beating for quantity.

Welcome to RIU buddy. Sounds like your environmental factors are well in place in regards to temps and humidity. I'd consider HPS for flowering, but I understand if there are heat and heigth constraints. Your LED is definitely capable of a whole grow, but you would pull a higher yield with an HPS. But in any event, see how you like growing with your first grow and if you decide to press onward with your new hobby, then consider a lighting upgrade and acquiring some high caliber, high quality genetics :)

1) unless you ordered feminized seeds, don't expect each one to be female.

2) seven plants at once is really too much for most beginners so make sure you do the work now to plan out your feed/water schedule and how much of what you'll need to mix down the road.

3) while you're going to get bud, it won't be what you're expecting with those lights so upgrade them asap.
