Need some help with my first plant ever.

This is my first plant. I really don't know what I'm doing.. I've planted it in "Black Earth" brand Soil which is a Hummus (plant material) based soil with NO PEAT MOSS.
It is kinda loamy tho.. i think i should have mixed in some sand.. but too late now... I use Plant Prod 20-20-20 plant food, 6mg per 5 liters of water. I water only once every week or two.
I've got a fluorescent light setup, 2x 20watt Plant and aquarium fluorescent bar lights and 2x 20watt "Daylight" bar lights. So 80 watts total. The plant and aquarium lights are supposed to give a proper flowering light spectrum, and the daylight bulbs are simply for higher lumens. More lumens = more THC, or so I've been told. Oh, and I just re-tested the soil PH and it's around 6.5 (slightly acid) which is good.. i think.

The PROBLEM I'm having is that the leaves on my plant seem to have light patches on the inner cells of the leaves.. I'll post a pic to help explain:

Any ideas what could be causing this? and or how to correct it? BTW the plant strain is Great White Shark.. never grown it before.. maybe this is normal? :/

First suggestion...read and study. The stickies are a great source for information. The discoloring is a sign of a nute problem. I am GUESSING (I am no expert) the N level is too high and watering only 1 every week to 2 weeks is not enough. Good Luck and read and study.

PS for all you trolls that may want to give me a hard time because I may have made a mistaken diagnosis...remember I said I am no expert. Just wanted to give the OP a place to start to learn. Thanks!

I'm no expert either but when I had similar symptoms most of the responses in my thread were that I had Mag deficiency. Don't take it as gospel. I hear alot of people spit out "it's overwatering" or "it's mag deficiency" for everything.

I have read up on a bunch of guides, but it seems to be different for many strains and there's alot of chemistry stuff i don't understand.. But yeah, I've been told it could be many things; overwatering, too much nutes, not enough light, wrong ph limiting nute uptake, I need to inject C02 in the air.. you name it.. I think my friends are pulling shit outta their asses.. lol.. so i thought i'd ask the good folks here. :)
So anyway, that's why I backed off on watering.. but that hasn't changed anything so far.. What is a good watering schedule for indoor? I've really just been watering when they soil gets really dry and the leaves start drooping...
I keep my plant in a makeshift grow box (cardboard box lined with flat white card stock to amplify the light, and two 25" dual bar light fixtures), but it's got no fan built into it.. could it be that they need more airflow?..

The last pic with the lights on i just posted cuz it's cool looking.. the lights aren't those colors, they are all white, but on my digital camera they strobe and change colors.. :P

Different mediums will dry out at different times depending on different circumstances such as humidity, temps, plant size and water uptake, etc. I would give them a regular watering and after you finish, pick up the pot and get a feel for what it weighs. Then give it a day or two to dry out. You can tell if it's dried out by picking it up and checking how heavy it is. Once it dries out it will be much lighter and then you can water. Once you have figured out how often your plants medium dries out, thats when you ill know how often it needs water. I've been running mine like this:

Water: Micro nutrients
Feed: Veg or Bloom nutrients

Day 1: water
Day 3: feed
Day 5: water
Day 7: feed
and so on and so on

You notice that I give some sort of nutrient every watering. I run Fox Farms trio for nutes (Grow Big, Tiger Bloom, and Big Bloom). On my water days I use straight water mixed with Big Bloom. The stuff is impossible to burn plants with. Then on my feed days I like to whip up a batch of Grow Big or Big Bloom depending on what stage the plant is in, along with some supplements like Voodoo Juice, CalMag, B-52, Big Bud, etc.

In regards to your airflow, rip apart a computer at least, and use the exhaust fans from it. You can get away with no exhaust sometimes, depending on your equipment, amount of plants, etc. Regardless GET SOME FANS IN THERE!

Hope this answers your questions

Right on. That does help!.. I got a few PC case fans laying around.. but i'm not sure how to power them for my box?? .. how would you do that?..

And one other thing you said caught my attention.. I think I've been giving it bloom nutes the whole time (plant prod 20-20-20) ??.. but i have it in a veg state to grow it bigger, so i should prolly get it on veg nutes eh?.. No wonder it's getting burned.. :P

But yeah, The soil i used seems to hold onto the water for a long time.. It's Black Earth hummus based soil, no peat moss. I have to wait about a week between watering, sometimes two.. but perhaps that's due to not having fans??

lol.. yeah.. nvm. i rigged up an old power supply. Works like a charm.. I like to learn along the way... But thanks for the advice. :)
