My second grow, first real grow

This is my second grow and my first 'real' grow as I grew with the strict minimum.

My last grow yielded 3.5oz with minimal care. I am aming for 1/2 pound this run since its going to be my first time using real equipment.

About my grow:
600W HID with cool tube
DWC with a 15 gallon reservoir (I am not sure if its enough but it seems to be)
I will be using hydroguard since I don't have a chiller for my reservoir
4x4 tent
6'' carbon filter with fan and controller
Floranova and CaMg for nutes, keeping it simple

I have germinated 2 seeds that I had, one C99 like my last grow and a Canadian lemon aid freebie that I got. I will be making clones of the nicest one.

ScroG is easy enough and will double your yield.

GH, Botanicaire and Gavita are all owned by Scott's the Miracle-Gro people now and they are basically owned by Mon$atan so go ahead and spend your money supporting the people who want to shut you down and have spent millions to do so.

I don't think a scrog will double my yield but I'm sure it will help.

Just a tip for ya on the water temps. Before we got our water chiller we used 2 empty 2 liter coke bottles filled with water and frozen to keep the res nice and cool. Works like a charm, long as you remember to change out the bottle each day ;)

I'd love to see your results with the Hydroguard, will this be your journal?

I didn't post any pictures yet since I've been busy and I need some stuff to hang everything in my tent.

On the other hand,I decided to buy some HSO's blue dream because of its high rating and I wanted to try something new.

I will be making a new journal soon when I have everything. I will post the link.

Can't sleep tonight...

Got most of my hydroponic setup. Everything looks good except for the cover of my reservoir. I went full ape on it and made the ugliest 3'' holes. All I need is my seeds and some tubing for the top feed drip lines.

Anyone knows if I can directly connect my water pump to my drip manifold or if have to put a 1/2 tubing between the 2?

Cat says you'll need to use tubing for your manifold, with 1/4 inch lines otherwise you could burn your pump up. He'll answer any questions you have, he built our system and many others, and we've had great results :) @cat of curiosity... could you elaborate for me please?

Assembled everything and it works fine without the 1/2" tubing connecting the pump to the manifold.

All that is left is the seeds.
Going crazy

Edit : I bought some general organic CaMg+ and was told I should not put anything organic in a hydro grow. Looks like I'll have to buy a new one :/

Can you post a pic of your system?

Organics can really do a number on your water and lead to pythium (root rot) so yeah, definitely don't want to use that. Get you some regular CalMag, you'll need it and in my opinion, it's the best. Sending you a PM...

Forgot to put the appt number when ordering the seeds, have to wait another 2 weeks. Sad

Assembled everything. Took the C99 and the lemonade out of soil and into hydroton. They look droopy and will most likely die but I was bored, I was going to throw them away anyway.
