Moving to southern Cali...

Hello,
moving to southern Cali sometime this week, looking for a room to rent right now on craigslist
it would be sweet if i could find someone who has the same interests as me ie. growing/breeding to live with
figured i would post here maybe get some advice
I have my card now just need a chill place to stay
electrician by trade, should be able to find work as i have great references
any help would be appreciated

WOW, wish I could go to Cali! But too be honest I would no be likely too meet in peson someone I met here on RIU. Unless I lived in a MMJ state like CA. Just be careful, I think I saw something here about a 420 celebration for RIU peeps posted here. I don't know exactly where it is or who is planning on being there. Like I aid I live in FL so did not see much point in reading the thread. Best of luck to you in moving to the Green coast!

I was kinda scared about this move, but I'm just gonna go for it tommorro

a little stressfull just packing up and leaving
will i find a job? will i like it there? can i afford it?
there is one thing i've learned in all my years. sometimes you just gotta say "what the fuck, make your move"(risky business)
so this is it, i have looked into the abyss, fuck it, its on...

go for it dude. you'll want to save up money for the move though. I plan on the same type of move. Pack the car up and go. I want to save up afew thousand beans though. you can apply to alot of jobs online nowadays. try that and see what you can get, then try to find a place to rent when you get there. As long as you have the job waiting for you there you'll be ok. you might have to stay at the local motel for a little while untill you find the right place. but the job is the most important part. Yeah, your right about the job thing
it would b great if i had one already, but at the same time, a couple people were like if you were here we would hire you but...your not so job goes to next guy
i have always done well, selling myself in person
just needed to build up a little confidence
i want to show up early at potential employers, and say, "here i am, got my tools and I'm ready to start making you some $,boss!"
look em in the eye, let em know they got a winner standing in front of them

Remember socal is awesome, but full of sketch people, I wouldnt suggest throwin a roomate ad of CL for growing. Just aint safe.

When I moved into my new apt here, the apt manager straight up told me "you guys can burn it and grow, just be careful and dont cause me trouble" and now were the side apt managers.

ok, so my search continues for the right place
been staying in my car so far, with occasional stop in hotel for shower
looked at a bunch of places so far
people are different here for sure
everyones not as open to growing as i would have hoped
still seems like a no-brainer to me they say i can grow eight plants and i intend too
looks like i might have to get my own place
really didnt want to live alone, figured i would share rent in a house and grow in closet and backyard
if i live alone, it will be in an efficiancy apt and will have to keep it small
people are too sketch, feds dont want little personal grows, they got bigger fish to fry
