nope, not yet. see what happened is a few days ago I started finding seeds. a couple dozen of them between the 5 plants so far as i can see. the problem is I can't find a pollen sac ANYWHERE... making the process of taking action (e.g. harvesting the hermie, removing pollen sacs, removing hermie etc) a little difficult :(

I suppose it's possible that these things just have weird genetics (hence the failure to autoflower) and are producing seeds as a result, because i've been scouring every plant trying to find which one is the hermaphrodite, and I just can't spot it.

I'll post back soon if I find anything, if not I'll post back again with how the bud turns out despite the damned pollenation. it seems as if only lower branches are developing seeds. not many to be found on the main colas.

Wow, that is a shame. Lord knows this strain had its fair share of problems, but yours is the first I've seen hermie. That's just a bad bit of luck there.

Do your best to salvage what you can. Often hermie nannners form in clusters on the same region of the plant. Sounds like yours is on the lower sub colas. Late in flower, hermies can form inside the bud where its is impossible to detect. You could harvest the heavy seeded sub colas to try and remove the nanners. You could then let the rest of the lightly seeded main cola and sub colas to mature.

Your crop isnt ruined so stay positive. Any early harvest bud can be made into hash,oil or butter. And bud off lightly seeded plants can still be very potent. Its not the best outcome, but it still can be a very good one.

Your crop might not be sinsimilla but its not ruined dude, relax. I wouldnt go as far as saying its ruined. Look at it this way, you have a SHIT load of seeds now. Maybe you could grow some and see if any AF? Do it outside when it gets warm. If you had the time, you could even refine the genetics yourself, it cant be that hard it IS just a weed. This isnt rocket science. I cant see how it couldnt be done cause all Nirvana is gonna do is cross their so-called "AF's" with their reg strains again right?

They say Lowryder is hermie proof yet they sell them feminized psh. It's just a gimmick to me brudda. Me, personally I would never buy fem seeds but I'm just a noob so what do I know right?
In fact the seeds I wanted only come fem - Easy Ryder. So I just bought some AK47 x Hindu Kush Automatic (It should be called Easy KushRyder lol). Non fem. 10 REGULAR seeds for 40 euros. Although, I plan on making seeds so I dont have to keep ordering. Pretty similar and I'm a fan of Kush, only problem is it stinks too good which is gonna be a problem for me.

Anyway, I ramble too, sorry.
Going back to your earlier post, I'd like to mention that I pay 9 cents per kwh. I live on the east coast.
Oh...and referring to the post about you using your HPS full grow. I did that too, a lot of people do. Ever notice how much hotter MH lights get? holy crap man. I forgot where I read it, but I'm pretty sure I read that using HPS lights full grow can be more effective than switching. I dont have the article on hand so dont quote me.

Also, not to bash Nirvana, but the plants in the breeder pics dont even look good. The buds look good dont get me wrong but the plants stems are all so lanky looking. Short Ryder looks to be about 6" away from a name change imo. (I know, its describing the flowering time not just plant height) :p I've seen some journals with some pretty beasty "short" riders.

Oh! Yeah, I almost forgot to mention this little info chestnut. You mentioned not being able to find the males pollensacks. yeah, I wasnt able to either on my hermie(s) til harvest, then I seen these little white star shaped things in between the buds, those musta been the used up dead pollen sacks. I never did find them on the plant prior to harvest.

I think you did a good job just got a bad batch, keep it up man it's grows like this that I look for, not the ones by the arrogant cocky "vets".

Damn Monkey, are you ever coming back? Just wondering what happend with your grow. I've been tracking many NL AF grows and I was curious to see how yours turned out. Hope all is well.

Hey folks. Lots happened and I wasn't able to post but I did get about 5 ounces of seedy bud to smoke out of the plants. It's still being smoked right now, so I'll post pictures of the cured bud. I have so many seeds that I wish weren't of shady potential. =(

I feel very disloyal for not completing this thread; i'll be back shortly to read through comments more thouroughly and post those budshots.

I'll be starting the shortrider pretty soon or I'll run out of bud to smoke before those are harvested, I plan on getting more organised and making daily posts to that grow's journal, as I think my lack of attention to detail could have been the result of the hermie, even though the plants appeared healthy the entire time. If I had applied the same scrutiny to the plants as I had with the AK-48 I might have spotted the nanners and landed less seeds. I seriously have too many and the most I'd do with them is plant them outdoors, which is what I'll probably do.

Thanks for the kind words :mrgreen:. You are mostly right. I got lots of nice bud to smoke out of it, and I'm lucky enough to have a grinder that doesn't harm the seeds at all and i can pick them out.

Yeah, I can't see the detriment. My plants have been sturdy and fair to great yielding under this bulb. I've never used a metal halide so I wouldn't know the heat difference but I can imagine that the older tech expends more energy on heat. I like HPS a lot :)

Here are those nug shots I promised you. It's mighty tastey and crumbles to powder between my thumb and finger. Pretty impressed with the potency considering. Not as inspiring or electric like the AK-48 was. I can feel the difference between sensimilla and a happy plant.:eyesmoke:

I wouldn't be too harsh on yourself, those AF were tore up from the floor up. Might not have even been your fault at all. Do yourself a favor and dont grow those Lowryders. I know you think I have an axe to grind with Nirvana, and maybe I do, but that stuff sucks. I suggest checking out Sannies, his seeds are outstanding. And, you can pick up one of his Breeder Choice seed packs for Thirty bucks. He charges five dollars for shipping. Thats cheaper than Nirvana and his genetics and breeding techniques are 100 times better.

But if you grow the Lowryders, then good luck and I hope they work out for you. Cryp.

hey just saw this thread for auto flowering northern lights fem been growing for almost 4 months now waiting for crystals to turn mostly an amberish color for a couch lock high just wanted to know what you guys think of these pics they are kicking my ass one got like 7 foot and buds are real thin the little guy right here has some nice buds on herbig buds.jpg0214010859.jpg0214010901.jpg0314010222.jpg0314010223.jpg

Kinda ashamed about how I let school ruin my grow journal when I did this... as illogical as that seems :P At least I've almost gotten a degree out of it. I'm sorry for anybody who comes to this thread and leaves disappointed..
