Hey RIU

I thought I'd update my journal. Hereon I will update this thread rather than start a new one every time.

I am into my 5th week from sprout. I must have made a mistake when I potted root riots into 13cms (too early) hence the slow growth.

Recently, I decided to switch to the 600W from a 125W cfl.

Here are pics once I switched and fed at quart strength.

IMAG1019.jpgIMAG1020.jpgIMAG1021.jpgIMAG1022.jpgIMAG1023.jpgIMAG1024.jpgIMAG1025.jpgIMAG1026.jpgIMAG1027.jpg

The pots are 13cm deep.

Here are some more pics taken today, 3 days after feeding.

IMAG1028.jpgIMAG1029.jpgimg1030.jpgimg1031.jpgimg1032.jpgIMAG1034.jpgIMAG1035.jpgIMAG1036.jpg

I will post a thread in the discussion so we can talk guys as you can see I may have problems!

Hi RIU,

Man second time I pressed back accidentally writing a post!

It's been a week, nearly, since my last post but since then I have FIM'd 2 off them and transplanted them all.

I think they were root bound, have a look at this:

IMAG1115.jpgIMAG1118.jpg

This was day 34, and my plants are barely a foot tall. I should've checked this earlier and transplanted earlier.

IMAG1120.jpgIMAG1125.jpgIMAG1127.jpgIMAG1133.jpgIMAG1139.jpg

This is them once they had been moved into their new homes.

I did an experiment, I have been feeding at 1/2 strength, the recommended strength is 4ml per litre!
I fed one the full strength and left the others at 1/2 strength.

The leaves on the full strength one seem a bit crispy but man its stem is fat and very strong!!

IMAG1134.jpg

It's the one in the corner.

Here are before and after pics once the fim had been done.

Plant 2

There we go all uploaded.

Having FIM'd then transplanted, I noticed these spots on the leaves, and also one of the middle leaves yellowing from the outer edge in.

Man I need to look it up or try something, I have been researching and it could be a mag def. I don't know, I have a thread for it here. Come have a read lol! I've spent countless hours on here for the last few months.

Peace :weed:

I have multiple pictures of the pic that is attached as a thumbnail, I think I pinched off too little of this new growth which is turning into a branch! Or I got the new growth but also the branch when I shouldn't have. Can anyone clarify? First timer lol, any ideas anyone?

Hey RIU!

Just a brief update tonight, knackered. Been almost a week since my last post, the girls are doing well with new growth everywhere and vegging nicely.
The FIM'd and Topped girls are looking pretty nice. Need to research how to do it multiple times.

More importantly tho I need new pots, bloody mail order is so slow and I hope I am not doing terminal damage right now. They are all in a gallon, been in there about ten days and the roots are popping out the bottom. I'm waiting for a 3 gallon drip system and a bunch of 5 gallon smart pots. Wanted to compare but being in a 1.2m grow tent isn't the best. Once the pots are here I'm going to put the screen in place and also I want to supercrop/LST one of my tall ones. It's hitting 2 foot, thing is I FIM'd it when I should have topped it instead.

Any suggestions?

Since my last feed 2 days ago I have noticed major bushing out but also there seems to be a CaMg def so will try to rectify that. Also there's one plant with like rusty tissue on one of the fan leaves, just on one finger. :/

IMAG1239.jpgIMAG1240.jpg

One or two of them are starting to smell, I got 5 MM & 2 C99 going but don't know which is which. I am inclined to think that the two smelly ones are the C99? Any ideas anyone that has grown them before?

Some pics of my ladies.

That's one of them and a close up.

IMAG1221.jpgIMAG1225.jpg

Another, birds-eye view and from afar. Bushing out big time and drinking quite a lot.
IMAG1241.jpgIMAG1245_BURST020.jpg

Some of the others.

Cheers for looking, feel free to comment :)

Morning RIU!!

So my pots arrived and they couldn't have come sooner. It was much needed. All the roots of my plants were rootbound but healthy. Man they were all solid white and no sign of any rot. :)

I decided to transplanted them in to

4x 16L (5 gal) rhizopots. (Similar to smart pots)
2x 11L (3 gal) square pots
1 x 6.5L (2 gal) square pot.

I have been told that the 6.5l coco yields well compared to an 11L in soil so we shall see.

All plants were showing camg def.

Been reading and might ditch the calmag for Epsom salts.

Also today I got my Wilma kit, happy days.

But man it was a bitch to set up.

My tent was full so had to rearrange it and I'm experimenting using rhizos in there aswell!

It's a recirculating drip fed system. In 15 mins it drips out 300ml. I have flood drillers and am tempted to use those but I'm not meant to. I'll see how the drip feed goes and switch if need be. Got some hydroton too which I wanted to put in but the prep was too long and I needed to replant straightaway.

Okay now some photos here:

I have some questions,

1) Are these female preflowers on the stipule in these photos? As you can see most of them are a foot tall with one taller and one shorter.

2) Also the plants that I've topped have 4/6 main branches that will become tops I think.

The ones I've fimmed well the main top has continued growing slowly while surround branches have definitely become stronger. But the main top has got more nodes now and is becoming tall. Is it possible to top this now?

I think I'll be flipping in next ten days.

3) The same question applies to the 2 plants that have had nothing done to them.

Is it possible go top these too or even fim them?

4) do you prefer flood or drip?

More pics to follow!!

PLS COMMENT

Hi RIU!

How's it going?

Okay my last post in this journal was on 11-21-2013, 10:39 AM!!

Thats when I transplanted what were nearly 7 weeks old and topped the final 2 from 7. Now today, it's been almost 3 weeks.

Had an accident with my lappy but all sorted. So I've got 3 weeks worth of updating.

I had been on in between when I was seeing signs of preflowers for some advice. Half of my babies were showing preflowers a week from that post.

I was and still am having trouble with a humidity and had to purchase a dehumidifier. On my 3rd different one now. First one was digital so couldn't use it with a timer, second one wasn't strong enough. Now on 3rd which is helping a bit but I will make a decision in the next few days whether I'm keeping it.

Anyway here we go.

Here are some pics from Week 8. These were mainly shots of preflowers, trying to get pics of pistils and I got a magnifying glass on some of them!

IMAG1594.jpgIMAG1585.jpgIMAG1574.jpgIMAG1601.jpgIMAG1602.jpgIMAG1616.jpgIMAG1617.jpg

Here's one of them all.

IMAG1630.jpg

Okay I will have to publish this now and get on with the following weeks. Having trouble with the uploader.

;)

It's not letting me edit that post, None of those pics were shot using a magnifying glass! NONE!

Here are 2 pics a week apart.

One from the 21st one from the 28th. A week apart and they had been transplanted midweek.

Okay a quick update for this week.

Continuing on from last weeks tone!

View attachment 2929077

Nah just kidding just one this week, not much different to last week.

This week though was solving some problems high temps and high humidity. Not together mind. Decided to get a cool tube and figure out how to mod the adjust-a-wing to fit it together.

View attachment 2929084View attachment 2929080View attachment 2929079

Pic's of the girls all set up in the wilma and bobbing along.

View attachment 2929083View attachment 2929085View attachment 2929081 View attachment 2929082

I noticed this down on one of the lower fan leaves, with all the girls being really bushy it's been difficult getting access! Gonna prune I reckon.

View attachment 2929078

Very pale after yellowing i'm guessing not enough food, upped feed to 1.5ml per Litre.

With hindsight the first dehumidifier was the best! :/

So now I'll be up to date!

I got the cool tube in place and still trying to solve the humidity issue.

IMAG1735.jpg

I got a bigger extractor, mate had one going spare, so I got a 6" 425 RVK!! It's powerful and marginally louder.

IMAG1745.jpg

I don't think acoustic ducting makes the biggest of difference to be frank!

I got my scrog net in place and started pulling tops through, gently.

IMAG1734.jpgIMAG1732.jpgIMAG1731.jpgIMAG1730.jpgIMAG1729.jpgIMAG1728.jpgIMAG1726.jpgIMAG1727.jpgIMAG1724.jpgIMAG1736.jpg

Some more pics after more training a couple of days later.

IMAG1805.jpgIMAG1806.jpg

I'm starting to see white hairs, see if you can spot them!

IMAG1812.jpgIMAG1813.jpgIMAG1814.jpgIMAG1815.jpgIMAG1818.jpg

I'll leave you with that!

Be back next week ;)

Hey RIU!

As the title says I am in Week 7 of flower, my girls are the best part of 5, 5.5 ft tall at the tip of the highest cola.

As a newbie I haven't got here without problems, but here now, nearly 4 months later!

I have one big cola but the rest are half the size of this one.

I ran PK 13/14 in week 5/6 and have now started to flush. I am thinking have I started too early?

Come on guys give me some feedback and let me know please.
