FLOWERING INDOOR
Claim: 11-12 weeks (77-84 days)

My reality: after vegging for about 5 weeks: flowering time was 100 days (14.3 weeks), counted from the start of 12/12 cycle.
NOTE: This was still early (imo), this could have gone 16.5 weeks (maybe, even more).

Nutes:
Biobizz Fishmix.
Biobizz Grow
Biobizz Bloom
Advanced Nutrients Big Bud
Plant Magic Biosilicon.
Plant Magic Oldtimer granules (mycorrhizal fungi and 20 strains of beneficial bacteria).

Notes on nutes:
Plant Magic Biosilicon - drastically raises PH of water. It must be heavily compensated for with PH down.

Medium:
Grown in both soil and coco. Strain was happy in either (no deficiencies). Hand watered.
12 liter, plastic square pots.

Grown indoor:
Two Samsung QB light fittings (240 Watts max each fitting - 480 Watts total)
1m2 tent (2 meters in height)

My Pheno was quite managable, no massive stretch in flower per se.

A low feeder, take care not to burn this plant. Use half strength nutes (and go from there).

Giant fan leaves in veg. As a strain, it is quite leafy. Although the bud/leaf ratio lead to nice size buds (no ‘scrawny’ Sativa buds here).

Strain reacted well to training, LST and HST (topping etc), but handled them all in its stride.

Lots of trichomes, buds were very resin filled.

Really Chunky buds (for a Sativa). And the density (at 14.5 weeks) was up there with some indicas.

At 14.5 weeks, while about 95% of the Trichomes were milky, there was slim to no amber.

Smell in flower:
Piney, Subtle ‘weedy’ scent, a bit of citrus with a ‘mixed herbs’ (kitchen seasoning) smell vibe too. Not loud at all (scent ramped up a little towards the end).

Smell, dried: (and cured)
Earthy, pencil wood shavings, subtle pine. All in all, pretty odd (when you smell a bag of it). Reminds me of the smell of your pencil box as a kid.
Not a scent I’m all that keen on, but pencil geeks might go mad for it!

Smoke/Taste:
Earthy, musky, very subtle pine. The pencil shavings vibe is still there but right at the back (hardly there, thankfully)
Pretty smooth smoke (I fed the plant just water for the last two weeks, before harvest).

High:
Strong, quick (within a minute), long lasting. Easier to over smoke though, due to this longer lasting effect (smoke a bit, take a rest, see where it takes you ..rinse and repeat till you hit your target).

head, Head, HEAD high! Not one bit of body high, everything goes straight to your head.
Introspective is a good word to explain it, Not ‘psychedelic’ (as some of the advertising blurb states), if coming from the point of view of mushrooms/lsd. But, it does induce a trance like feeling, thousand yard stares.

I could see people prone to paranoia getting a bit ‘antsy’ with this strain.

Personally, not my cup of tea. All headrushes and feelings of inflation (smoking more, makes the rushes deeper), with no perceivable body high. It might sound ‘interesting’, but it is a very specialised high (imho).
For example;
if I was doing some kind of deep meditation, focusing on the internal. And planning to meditate for an hour+. Well this high might aid your introspection and focus.
Its not a high you would use at a party or a social setting (imo). It asks for quiet and an internal dialog. Or, reading a book ..maybe, that pencil geek reference earlier was more on point than I thought.

Surprisingly, I found you could do stuff while smoking this. But given that introspective high, you can find yourself walking/working on autopilot ..while your brain is floating somewhere near orbit.

Final Impressions:
Easy grow but a darn long one. For this reason, maybe first timers should avoid.

Money saving with the nutes (I only used half strength).

Not the tastiest smoke on the palette, earthy taste lovers will enjoy this the most.

For those, looking for a trance-y/headrushy/introspective high. Meditators and internal spacecateers might think about applying here.

If someone gets a good 50/50 cross with this strain and say a strong couch lock OG/Indica. Well then, I will fear for stoners globally. Potentially, you'd have a strain where your body was couch locked somewhere near the centre of the Earth ..but, your head would be about 30 light years past Zeta Reticuli. Sounds good in practice, but ...

If you cobbed it it be more in the trippy vibe theres something about that way of curing that works well with real sativas plus thats how Malawi is done traditionally all the same looks good mate

If you liked this one I would highly recommend checking out ace seeds "golden tiger", I found something akin to cocaine in seed form, very strong physical rush, stuff makes you feel "fast". Took about 13-14 weeks at 11/13. Ace recommends using this flowering time to reduce the number of reflowerings and to shorten the flower 2-3 weeks.

Yep, I regret not lowering the 'lights on' time below 12 hrs (towards the end of flower). I was growing it with other (indica) strains, so kept it at 12/12.

One day I'll also try cloning and placing straight into 12/12 (another thing people recommend, from seed too). And also, dropping light hours further (as flower progresses).

Peace.

Sounds like Snowdawg....that strain felt like I just blew a line, I couldnt sit still and was running around my house for a good 15min before directing that energy to video games lol

Cob details and Cob smoke report:

So here is (see attached) the cobbed banana leaf MxP, after 1.6 years (first seven months partial vacuum sealed then the rest in a sealed mason jar).
The cob started life as around 2-3 ounces of seedless, stemless bud. After cobbing, its amazing how small it compressed too (see pics).

fyi - I really did this for a few friends, who are from communities were cobbing was 'the thing'.
I spent hours chatting about 'elbow depths' and how to cultivate 'molds' on the surface only (to create changes in taste etc).
After all this, I realised it was best to think in terms of Cheese Making. As those I spoke too, who had cobbed for generations, seemed to be explained cobbing in roughly the same terms (and fermenting).

Now this still isn't my cup of tea, I was trained 'molds and weed' equals bad ;) But the argument thrown my way was 'controlled mold'. Only on the surface and restricted from entering deeply. All done through a process of slow drying, compressing and sealing.

So after 1.6 years, the cob came out like a rock on the outside. I see streaks of white on the outside of the cob, but nothing on the inside. The inner core has a very small amount of moisture ..enough to give the core a sticky/gooey effect between the fingers. The inside is reminiscent of soft hash in consistency and stickiness. It still looks somewhat like weed but you crumble it like soft hash.
You could now; give it a full airing (to dry completely) and then vac seal away for storage. Or, leave what little moisture there is and continue the cobbing process.

Current smell of cob:
Sweet, leathery, weedy, subtle pine, very subtle 'mold' smell ..maybe 'attic musky' is a better term than mold.

Current taste smoked:
Sweet, subtle leathery/earthy tones, no pine, a full robust mature weed flavour. While I caught 'attic musk / mold' vibes occasionally, the smoke was always smooth. If I were being honest, I thought it tasted better cobbed. No pencil shavings vibe, the pine was removed and the sweet flavours were front and centre.

High:
For me (and this pheno). The high is still very 'head' but smoothed out a little (not so 'soaring'). And a subtle, yet deep, body stone is now exposed (your body starts to feel heavy). Improved flavour and a more robust high (still more on the side of 'head').

Peace.
