Main stem split 8 weeks into flower

The title says it all: something fell on my plant and it split the main stem down the middle. No matter how much I squeezed the stem, the gap in the stem would not close all the way. I used zip ties to close it as much as possible. I have about 10 days left of flushing before harvest, and I would like to know what I should expect to have happen to my plant. Should I do anything different than I did? I should also mention that water was seen dripping out of the wound. Also, do my plants look like they will be ready for harvest in about 10 days? I will be monitoring the trichome color, but I am trying to estimate when to start my flush.

yeah, she will be okay. as @Renfro said, what you've done so far is correct. don't be surprised that she is not ready in ten days - not only does she not look like she will be but this might slow her down just a bit. don't flush her - she is trying to pack on weight these last few weeks. she needs her nutrients now more than ever just because of that plus she has her booboo. good luck with your grow - looks good! nice job.

If I flush it's only the last 3 days and I use Flawless Finish or just about 350 ppm of epsom salt. But thats just me and there are a lot of varying opinions about flushing. I have had superior quality harvests that weren't flushed. I agree with @undercovergrow the plants are doing the most important part of their growth, never harvest too early and never deprive them of food too soon.

Thank you. Do you have any advice for how to estimate when the plant will be done? If I do decide to do a one week flush, how do I tell that the plant is about 1 week away? Can I go off the color of the stigmas or the trichomes somehow?

It's a guess. I have had strains that go past prime with all amber trichomes in a few days and ive had some that take 2 weeks from first ambers till things are at their peak. It's a real big guessing game unless you are very familiar with a cut and have been running it a while.

It will be ok.
You were right. The plant handled it like there wasn't even a problem, and I was able to reach harvest with no trouble. I did get some black residue on the inside of the split though, which I assume was mold. I'm hoping that mold didn't get on the buds that are drying now.

I snapped amn upper branch on a plant that left it hanging by a thread of fibre. Literally just a thread. Duct taped it, and it healed like nothing had happened!
