Lights off/on in late flower: a bunch of BS

I'm in a bind and I need a path or some enlightenment to get out please. I am running some cuts of critical plus and they are in there 48th day of flower from clones as of right now. This is a small sea of green and I will honestly say that I will never ever do another one in soil. Its a bitch to water and the yield is ridiculously small. The buds all have cloudy trichomes as of right now with very little clear. They were flowered in one gallon containers at about 7 inches tall, 1000 watt hps, did have a little trouble with over watering in the beginning. I've ran this strain previously and to my knowledge it seemed as if they were finished between 45-50 days as the breeder information states. This time the buds arent as solid and dense and ive cut a few to to test the weight. Out of the 4 i've cut not ONE of them weighs over 10 grams a piece wet. This is bud only, no stem, and trimmed, drying out to about 2 grams a plant.

For security reasons ive decided I need to harvest before this Friday so the last 30 hours or so they have been sitting in the dark and I decided to harvest. Since the last few days the weight has went from about 7 grams wet to about 9 to 10 grams wet since the dark period. I decided fuck this, im not wasting all that time and effort over a gram a plant and put them back on they're light schedule tonight to see if maybe a few more days can squeeze some more weight out of them. I mean this shit is ridiculous, I should be pulling about 5-7 grams a plant dry and right now would be overly excited with 5 grams! Do you think my weight will increase much in that time period or what should I do? Please help, for I have no knowledge in this situation. BTW I know me putting them back on a 12/12 schedule increases risk of hermies, and this late into flowering I am not concerned about a hermie.

I must add that the buds are showing some amber here and there and most hairs have turned orange, although the top colas do seems more thick and dense than the lowers. Since the they have been in the 30 hours lights off they have shot out lots of new white hairs.

No a few more days is not going to make a difference. I would have just left the plants in darkness longer if anything. Won't be enough time to hermie either but the stress from the light cycle might slow growth. If you left it a week or two longer you might see a slight difference but then it depends what you are trying to harvest your trichomes at if they are already turning amber you might be at the end of the road mate. And lol at the above reply

Lol you did something wrong . Don't blame it on the soil. I bet overwatering and too much nutrients. You can pull an ounce out of a 1 gallon container no problem . 40-50 days of flower doesn't seem long enough either . Can you post pics? I'm curious to see what a 3gram plant looks like lol

I know something has went wrong because i've ran 7 grows in this 4x4 tent and have never yielded under a lb and my usual yield is 18oz-22oz easy. This same strain last time went for 7 to 7 and a half weeks. Out of the critical plus, critical kush, killing fields, white widow and super lemon haze people were more crazy over the C+ and SLH more than any of them. So i know its a potent strain, but maybe the over watering in the beginning delayed them?

The roots are plentiful between the soil block and the container, they are pretty white in color. No signs of rot.

How long did you veg for? I never understand why people use soil for SOG. So silly when you can use other methods that will at least x2 your yield...hempy for example. I get over an Ounce per 1 gallon milk jug. 1 week veg from roots on my clones
